Capítulo 30: Pushing Through the Hot Gates

The first day after setting the camp on the West Gate of Thermopylae(the Hot Gates), the army moved further into the pass and we met the enemy forces shortly after. The enemy forces were both in the castle on the hills near the river Asapos, which flows between the Eastern and Western Gates of Thermopylae and blocking the passage toward the mountain passes, and on the Eastern Gate where they protected the pass through fortifications.
