Seeing that Nan Kang was about to leave, Zheng Yue quickly got up from the ground and reached out to grab his sleeve.

"Wait!" she said in a tearful voice.

Nan Kang didn't have time to listen to her and waved her hand away. Zheng Yue was in a hurry to pull him back which caused her to lose her center of gravity. She knocked over all the food she had prepared for the entire night, and the plates fell to the ground and broke into several pieces.

"Let's talk after the abortion."

With that, Nan Kang left without looking back.

Zheng Yue watched in a daze as his figure heartlessly disappeared through the door. She did not even realize that her hand, which was under her body, had been scratched by the broken pieces of the bowl.

The long-awaited expectations in her heart were all shattered into pieces by Nan Kang's actions and gradually lost their warmth.
