Capítulo 10: Another version of the monster
Pathetic.
He said before his teeth sank into my neck. This time, I didn't fight it. All I did was fight the pain that threatened to take over.
He suddenly stopped.
“Pathetic.” He said the word I've got used to associating him with before he threw me to the floor.
“If I'm pathetic, you will let me go.” I narrow my eyes at him, “when father learns of this, he will surely come for me. And when he does, you will be crushed to dust.” I sat on the floor with my eyes narrowed squarely at him.
He laughed at my words, “you are nothing but a pathetic human.” He took a squat in front of me.
I tried to get away from him as far as I can, but it was impossible. The chains on my legs kept dragging me back.
He latched his hand to my throat. “Your father is just a pathetic human. He's nothing but dust under my feet.” He smirked, showing his fangs.
“Let me go, you beast!” I spat on his face.
His eyes changed colours immediately. The red orbs became so blood-red, it felt like blood was dripping down from them.
He narrowed his eyes to slits. “How dare you!” His hold on my neck tightened until it felt like death was knocking on my door.
However, it didn't fear me. If anything, I was happy that I was finally going to be free of this nightmare.
He smirked, “killing you is a waste.” The creature said as he threw me to the ground once more. “Eat your food, and stop having murderous intents. You are not going to die, at least, not until I tell you to do so.” He took the fork from the floor and left the room.

I can't tell how many days I've been here. It has been long since I came, that I know. However, I can't tell how long I have been here.
It seems like a few days to me, but I know it's much more than that.
The creature, whom I later came to discover was a vampire, have been visiting like he normally does.
And each time, he feeds on me while I struggle to fight him.
It was like a game we have grown accustomed to.
The more I tried to fight him, the fiercer he becomes, and the more determined I was, to fight him all the way.
I never allow him to win, and he doesn't disappoint in inflicting pain on me. It was as if he were born for it.
Thrice have I tried to escape from this place, and each time, I'm brought back to where I started.
It was mad, I tell you.
Frustrating, even. However, I've not resigned myself to fate.
I will wait until I get the opportunity to leave.
I'm a warrior princess. I wasn't born a loser.
Tonight, after a forced dinner and bathing, I was lying on the bed.
According to the strange human servant who seemed to support her master at every turn, the vampire isn't going to return today.
There are things he needed to take care of, so today is a free day for me. She said I can do whatever I want.
And by that, she meant I can sit on the window, and gaze out to the world I might never see again if I don't fight for escape.
I slowly walked over to the large bed and plopped down in it.
Today is another failed attempt at escape. Tomorrow, I will start another one. I will never give up no matter what.
Princess Star isn't one to give up easily.
The moon wasn't as Bright tonight as it was yesterday, however, it was able to cast light in the room.
Ever since the day I came here, the light that attracted me to this place seemed to have disappeared. And that made me deduce that the light must have appeared, just to lure me into false security, only to suck me into this crazy place I am now.
Gods.
What I won't give to return to the palace.
Hell.
I might even accept one of those tumid princes whom father loves to link me with.
I sighed before I turned, so I was facing the box.
Unlike before, the box doesn't scare me much. You can say I've got used to seeing it all the time, as it's the only thing of interest in this boring hell room.
The door to the room was slowly opened.
At first, I wanted to turn to check on the person who entered. But on second thoughts, I decided to continue pretending to be asleep.
If the person finishes with what they came in here for, they will surely leave.
For a moment, there was no sound to be here.
Has the person gone, already?

I heard sniffles before the creature whom I hate more than life itself walked up to the box.
He sat on the box and folded his legs.
I watched him, confused by his actions because this was my first time seeing him near the box.
Since that night, he has never gone near the box.
I watched him, intrigued, as he started sniffing once more.
He looked so broken with his back hunch.
The small moonlight, flittering in, cast glows on him.
It made him look pathetic.
I watched him as he slowly murmured and sniffed.
It interested me to see such an arrogant man, I'm such a situation.
Half part of me was happy, while another part felt sorry for this version of him.
He looked like a kid as he gazed out the window. This time, his eyes were red. The yellow orbs glanced at the window as if there were something of importance.
What could be wrong with him?
I wondered as I watched him, trying to know what was wrong with him.
It's not every day you see such a sight.
He stayed that way until the moon gave way to a clear sky.
And that was when I noticed I didn't sleep a wink.
