Mid-Afternoon. U.S Specialized Military Hospital.
The war's aftermath resulted in many wounded military personnel brought to the hospital for treatment. Some were accompanied by their family members. Due to it being a military based hospital, many civilians were well disciplined and whispered in hushed voices not wanting to disturb others.
Dressed in the traditional white patient gown, Kyle trotted down the hospice hall, his handsome and vibrant features immediately attracting the attention of the opposite sex.
Thanks to the spread of news not modernized and as swift as it had been in the 21st Century, only a few recognized Kyle as the biggest contributor to the counterattack campaign.
Kyle, the youngest lieutenant in the United States was not as famous as Steve, the famed "Captain America."
In the face of many gorgeous nurses, Kyle smiled and stepped out of the hospice building and walked to Green Plant Park situated right outside.
At this time, the sun shone brightly; the trees and meadows were a lush green, and the fountain pool twinkled a transparent light. It was all pleasing to the eyes and suitable for a patient to rest and recuperate.
But Kyle was none of that.
He breathed in a few mouthfuls of the natural fresh air and began warming up, practicing a set of regular military boxing techniques. With one set finished, his body felt comfortable and smooth, body no longer stiff and dull.
"That felt comfortable…" Kyle exhaled out deeply. Though his shoulder screamed in pain of protest, he who was used to the war environment felt more comfortable outside than lying in a sickly hospice bed.
I'll go to the training base with Joseph tomorrow. It's not good to be listless like this. Since I'll also meet Steve tomorrow, everything should be perfect.
Kyle had his own pride and principles.
"Ah, that's right. I've almost forgotten the spoils from the counterattack."
After warming up, Kyle's sweat-covered body sat on a chair. He closed his eyes as if he was resting, and quietly entered the card space. Compared to the last time, there wasn't as much white and green cards floating in the card space. And this time, the harvest was far greater than any previous battle he'd been on!
He had only twenty-five unclassified blue cards prominently placed above the center of the card space's whirlpool. Each card seemed as if it contained a limitless energy, giving the modified cards a destructive set of power. By the time his eyes landed on the [Infinite Energy Cube], he'd figured out its use for them. Rather than using the energy cube as unlimited energy on guns, he might as well use it for his cards.
"Sacrificing this blue cards… though it won't pull my cards beyond that of a blue grade, I know I'll still have the other blue cards that greatly enhances my personal strength." Kyle looked forward to the near future. Then, he suspended the twenty-five blue cards directly in front of him.
The difference between the lower and upper limit of the sacrifice draw cards was outrageous. It was precisely because it had the possibility of gaining anything, one would unexpectedly spurt out blood from the lame cards they'd get, or their eyes would twinkle from the treasure harvest. Thus the higher grade the cards sacrificed, the better the end product.
If he hadn't been given the sneak ability card, he'd not be able to touch the gates of the enemy base let alone breaking inside it.
"Blessed are the Goddess of Victory… give me some good luck!" Excited and perturbed, Kyle sacrificed the first ten blue cards.
Card Sacrifice Begin!
"You sacrificed [Jewel Energy]× 10."
"Congratulations on the card sacrifice extraction. Card sacrifice complete. You earned [Blue Eagle]."
A blue biological card appeared in front of Kyle's eyes. Blue ambient light flashed brightly, indicating its extraordinary grade ability.
"It's… blue, right? I'm not seeing anything, right?"
Kyle knew receiving a blue card was rare. He quickly grabbed the new card for inspection.
[Blue Eagle]: Rare Blue Card. A strange bird creature that lives tens of thousand meters high on the cliffs. Three times larger than a normal goshawk, and can stretch its wings up to ten meters wide. It has dark blue feathers, excellent vitality and defense, and can defend against ordinary thermal weapon. Has visual eyesight that stretches for over a thousand meters long, and can send out a sound wave cry-like attack. Its highest flight speed is a Mach Four.
Note : Mach 4 is equivalent to the speed of 3069 miles per hour.
"A rare flying mount?" Kyle was dumbfounded.
In the Marvel World, the Blue Eagle could already be listed as an alien species!
"A Mach 4 speed is as fast as a modern day aircraft like the Black Bird jet…" Kyle already adored his Blue Eagle, but this special existence was doomed to never be used regularly.
If he were to use it now, it'd cause havoc and chaos in the world. He'd be bombarded by fighter planes or claymores by groups of scientists ready to uncover each and every flesh of Blue Eagle.
In terms of practicality, the Rare Blue [Blue Eagle]wasn't as good as the Rare Green [Poisonous Hornet's Nest].
"Blue Eagle, I'll let you rest for now. I know you'll end up helping me in the future!" Kyle comforted himself and listed Blue Eagle in the space card area that was meant for emergency use.
Next, he sacrificed the second set of his cards.
"Please give me a more practical card!" Kyle prayed. He understood that the most important card was practicality suitable for regular use.
Second Card Sacrifice Begin!
"You sacrificed [Jewel Energy]× 10."
"Congratulations on the card sacrifice extraction. Card sacrifice complete. You earned [Vibranium Gold Arm]."
Soon as Kyle heard the name of the new card, the once nervous face brimmed with a face full of excitement. It was vibranium!
Vibranium, Marvel's sought after metal originated in Black Panther's nation called "Wakanda". The outside world knew nothing of the existence of Wakanda. Those who did kept their mouths hushed. In addition, Captain America's shield was made of vibranium.
Kyle held and the card in his hand and looked at the properties described.
[Vibranium Gold Arm]: Blue Product Card. Pure gold plated armor for the arm forged from vibranium. Can perfectly accommodate the user's right arm, and easily offset a variety of physical damage and thermal weapon impact.
"It's equivalent to a portion of Black Panther's suit but without claws." Kyle was satisfied.
Though it was no skill card, he was content. This extraordinary tech was very much needed. With the upcoming Super Soldier physique he'll extract combined with the protection of vibranium armor, and his stealth skills, he'd truly be invincible on the battlefield!
