Mu Yang took a deep breath. "Come over to my place."
"Fine." Lin Aotian sighed and was about to hang up when he remembered something. "Promise me you won't do anything reckless. Just... stay away from your phone. I'll go over as soon as possible."
"I know." Mu Yang agreed and hang up. He put his phone down and took a deep breath. He leaned back into the back of his couch, covering his face in frustration. His mind traveled back to the time when Nana was with him. It was his happiest moment so far and he couldn't wait to enjoy his life with her again.
Almost an hour later, Lin Aotian appeared in his apartment, sighing in relief when he saw Mu Yang was lying on his couch, looking empty and lifeless.
"Yang Yichen, I'm here. Are you okay?" He patted the actor's back and watched as Mu Yang rose from his lying position and sat quietly.
"Brother, you're here. Now tell me why I couldn't go to her right now?" His gaze was sharp. He demanded answer and he wouldn't settle for a bullshit.
"Yang Yichen, first, can you tell me what has happened?" Lin Aotian patiently coaxed the answer out of him.
Mu Yang told him about what he had found all this time, including what he knew about Wira and Nana. His anxiety grew as he forced himself to tell about Wira and Nana's relationship. He was originally a jealous person, but this time, it was on a whole different level.
He was jealous and anxious at the same time. Strangely, he wasn't even angry to her or Wira. He just wanted to be there for her, to show her ex that she already had him as a boyfriend.
After hearing his story, Lin Aotian sighed. He knew this time he couldn't hold his artist back.
"Look, you have an important schedule tomorrow and the day after tomorrow. I'll try to move those that should be done this week into tomorrow and the day after, and those which can wait, will need to wait until you return here. But..." He paused, looking at Mu Yang who was looking at him eagerly. "You will be super busy you will only have two or three hours in total to take a rest." His voice carried a hint of warning, that he wanted him to understand the consequences of his actions later on.
"I know. Let's do this!" Mu Yang nodded his head firmly. His bright eyes sparked with new vigor. As much as he wanted to meet Nana as soon as possible, he knew that he was still needed to strengthen his steps to ensure all his plannings didn't go to waste. If it was just for two days, he could still fail their weekend plan to meet Wira's mom.
He still had time. He assured himself.
Two days later, early in the morning, Mu Yang boarded the plane to Nana's country even before telling his manager. He directly went to the airport right after his last schedule was done and caught some sleep during the flight to country P. It was a more than ten hours flight so it was enough for him to sleep.
After more than ten hours, he finally landed in the international airport of City J in Country P. It was late at night and there was no plane to go to her sweetheart's place at this time. The ealiest flight he could get was on the next morning, so Mu Yang booked a room nearby while counting on the hours he could see her again.
As usual, he received news about Nana again from LowKey. Fortunately, there was no Wira around her this time.
LowKey: "Seems like something's bothering her. She came out this late only to walk around before she returned to her dormitory."
Mu Yang: "Did something happen today?"
LowKey: "I don't think so. She went to work as per usual, returned home early, and there's no changes in her social media which only means she might take a nap until late in the afternoon." He paused. "Is it possible that she was missing that ex of hers?"
Mu Yang growled in annoyance. "Don't you dare mention that bastard!"
LowKey let out an amusing laugh. It was fun hearing Mu Yang's reaction to his teasing. Who would have thought that Mu Yang would react this strong to a mere girl?
Fate really works in wonder.
"Is she safe now? I mean, you said that she was walking around alone. Is the environment safe for her to do so?"
"She avoided dangerous areas, don't worry. Also, am I not here to watch over her? You pay me well, after all." Mu Yang didn't need to see LowKey to know that this hacker was grinning from ear to ear.
"You had better keep her safe." After saying that, Mu Yang hung up on him and laid on his bed.
Just one more day, Bao Bei, just one more day, he whispered into the air.
On the next day, after having breakfast in the hotel restaurant, he checked out from the hotel and went to the airport. He took the earliest flight he could get to where Nana was and before long, he had boarded the flight with his heart full of anticipation.
In another hour, he would be under the same sky with his lover. He had eyes on her, monitoring on whatever she did outside her dormitory. He had her addresses; both her dormitory and her workplace. He had remembered her favorite places that she would visit for time to time. He knew every location she usually visited just in case she decided to run away from him again.
Mu Yang took a deep breath, trying to calm himself down. Just a little more, he said, just a little more.
Around an hour and a half, the plane landed on the airport and the first thing he did before he walked out of the plane was to turn on his phone.
A message came in. It was from LowKey.
"Boss, hurry up! Wira is taking her to meet his mother!"
Mu Yang felt like his heart leapt into his throat. He typed a string of reply to the hacker, "Where? How long have they been there?"
LowKey: "It's fifteen minutes already! Hurry up!"
He proceeded to send an address to him and Mu Yang hastened his pace. After taking his luggage -which fortunately didn't take long, he hailed a taxi in front of the airport and ordered the driver to speed up to the location he got from LowKey.
It took him more than thirty minutes to reach the place LowKey mentioned about. He asked the driver to wait -forgetting that he might be losing his belongings like that -and strode into the restaurant.
His eyes scanned the room, finding the figure of his beloved girl and soon spotted her sitting in a corner with an older woman. There was no man in sight. Wira was probably somewhere in this same place.
Mu Yang's heart thumped from anticipation to meet his Bao Bei as he approached them. As the distance between them shortened, his ears caught some words that he was familiar with -he had done his homework to learn her native language. His eyes shifted from his Bao Bei to the old woman who had unpleasant and mocking look on her face.
"Didn't I tell you to stay away from my son? What are you doing coming back to him and seducing him again? Didn't I tell you a woman like you doesn't deserve to be loved by my son? If you still want to be thick faced, then hear this. You... don't deserve... to be loved... at all. Just like your shameless mother, I won't let you get close to my son. My son deserves someone better than you." The old woman, Wira's mother, enunciated her words to Nana with low voice.
