Wailing in anguish Eve blunders and stumbles blindly through the savanna grass, mindless of anything in her path…paying no heed to the bulk of the buffalo herd as she runs towards the fallen Liger…tears of frustration, tears of rage at the injustice, tears of fear course down her simian features as she throws herself down next to the badly injured Romeo. She cradles his large head in her lap as her anxious eyes run over his body…watching the rapid rise and fall of his chest…her eyes drawn to the gaping wound in his side, the blood running freely from the torn flesh, matting his hide.
