Capítulo 5: Chapter5

#Chapter5

Sasha parked in front of the Blues, she started contemplating if she had done the right thing, maybe she should have called the girls and tell them she can’t make it. The last thing she wants is to give Michael more reasons not to trust her and to think that tonight was so similar to the night it all started, the night everything changed. She had lied going to a girls night out that night and tonight she went on a girls night out but for real this time. Will she blame Michael if he thinks she is lying? But she had been going out with her girls before so why would tonight be different? Except for Michael going back to how he was three years ago, things were perfectly normal.

What did she do wrong that cracked him up again? What could she have said? She knows she had not gone out on a date without him around or without her friends or even their parents, so what exactly went wrong? The blaring of her ringtone woke her up from her thoughts and she sighed and brought out her phone from her handbag and saw that Agatha was the one calling. /"Don’t bail on us, girl,/" she screamed immediately the call connected and Sasha had to take the phone out of her ear to protect her eardrum.

/"I won’t, I’m in front of the Blues,/" she replied.

/"Great, we are inside./"

/"Obviously,/" Sasha rolled her eyes, she could hear the music blaring and she wondered if she was in the right state of mind to be in such a noisy place but she ended the call, grabbed her bag and climbed out of the car but just as she was getting out, she saw a sight that caught her eye. A black car was slowing down a few paces from her and she held her breath, waiting to see who was driving. She knows that car all too well and can never miss it but just before she could confirm her claim, the car sped off.

She stood by door, staring at the fading red light, she didn’t get a close look in order to be sure that it was Fish but her heart was already telling her it was him. The last conviction she had given herself to get inside the club was slowly fading and she clenched her teeth, not in anger but to prevent herself from bursting into tears. She blinked continuously to hold in the tears and let out a sigh through her mouth. She ran her hand through her hair and was torn in between getting back into the car and going into the club.

At the end, she just couldn’t and she climbed back into the car and reversed from the lot, speeding out of the vicinity. She drove to a pub not too far from her house and got down, she needed to clear her head and yes her friends would have helped her a lot but she wanted to be alone and drown herself in her sorrow. If she should meet them in this mood, they are sure going to find out that something was wrong with her and she didn’t need anyone questioning her right now.

She stepped into the pub and glanced around, everyone seemed to be minding their business but she caught a few pairs of eyes staring at her. She made the calculation in her mind, the way she was feeling right now, she will most likely get drunk and she doubts if she can fend for herself if any of the perverts come at her and so she turned immediately and left. Walking quickly back to her car. She got in and saw a man step out of the pub, glancing around like he was looking for something or rather someone.

Sasha heaved a deep sigh and was glad for her quick decision, if not she wondered what would have happened this time and not to forget that she told Michael she was going to the Blues, imagine how the situation would have been had she been found drunk in a pub and with that man doing whatever he wanted with her. She sighed in her car and rested her head on the seat. She doesn’t feel like going home yet because she can’t stand seeing Michael right now and she doesn’t want to go to the Blues as well. From the rearview mirror, she saw a black car parked on the other side of the street and she sighed and shook her head in frustration.

Guess she was right, it was Fish after all. Her phone started ringing again and she knew it would be one of the girls and she heaved a sigh, wondering what to tell them but as she brought her phone, she was surprised to see Michael was the one calling and she figured Fish must have told him that she wasn’t in Blues. She sucked in a deep breath and answered the call, /"yes?/"

/"Where are you?/" Michael asked.

Sasha closed her eyes and a tear slipped down her cheek, /"I’m in my car./"

/"Where?/"

/"At a pub./"

She heard him heave a sigh, /"you said you were going to the Blues,/" he said softly.

/"I was, but then I changed my mind./"

/"Why?/" he asked.

Because someone sent his bodyguard to stalk me despite telling me to go have fun, she yearned to say but at the end said, /"nothing, wasn’t in the mood for the noisy club anymore./"

/"There is always a brawl at that pub,/" Michael said and Sasha wanted to laugh. She could remember she didn’t tell him the pub she was in, so how did he know to even warn her about the brawls? /"Come home./"

/"Why should I?/" she asked before she could stop herself.

She heard him sigh again and could almost hear his hesitation, /"come home Sasha, please,/" he whispered, /"we are waiting for you./"
