I stood there as I stared at the man who had helped my moms. He smiled as a smile curled upon my lips. I hugged Michael as he hugged me back. Lyric walked over to Lakin. They looked at each other and smiled.

I pulled back. /"Why didn’t you tell me?/"

/"Because we didn’t want to confuse you. The four of us talked extensively about this decision. Lyric and I watched Lakin and Mia struggle to have a family. With everything they had gone through, we didn’t want them not to have a family,/" Michael said.

I looked at Michael and understood. /"Is that why you helped me when I went through everything?/"

/"I wanted to reassure you that your moms wanted you. Larissa, it’s not my place to parent you. That right belongs to Lakin and Mia. How I could help you is to be your family and friend./"

/"It’s weird to know that your uncle fathered you./" I shook my head.
