"Are you sure you're a nobleman?" The pretty girl asked him with a laugh.
"I accompanied Duchess Anne to her wedding to King Charles of France," Nicholas replied to her, "I do like you!" Nicolas felt a shiver as he looked at the young, beautiful girl.
"Be careful with me, you're playing with fire!" Vivian said moving Nicolas' hand away from her clothes.
"What kind of love without fire, we Bretons cannot live without fire."
"Your father is a boyar? Big man?" Nicolas asked.
"And what do you care about my father? If you like me, does it matter? Even a black peasant woman!"
"They will not understand me if I show up in my fief with a black peasant woman as my wife!"
"Is that the propose? I didn't say yes!" Vivian burst into laughter.
