Christopher stood there, frozen, as a myriad of emotions washed over him. He was feeling woozy. The smothering atmosphere heightened his rage and perplexity.

His brow furrowed furiously, emphasizing the lines of frustration on his face. His jaw clenched, and the muscles were taut with tension. He couldn't comprehend why Abigail had been so distant and resistant.

He couldn't understand why Abigail had kept pushing him.

Why was she not coming to him? Was she not able to recognize him? Did she lose her memory? 

The taste of her lips lingered on his, increasing his restlessness. Doubt gnawed at him, threatening to consume his every thought.

He was irritated, but he couldn't stop recalling her words. He suddenly remembered her telling him to stay away from her if he wanted his safety.

His frown deepened. The weight of her words echoed in his mind, fueling his anger.
