Capítulo 19: our beautiful childhood memories 1

I hid the key under the doormat as usual and smiled at Max
"I won't take long, please make dad and mom believe I'm still locked inside and don't get into trouble okay?" i said
"Are you sure you don't need me to follow you? the amazon forest has become more dangerous lately, what if something bad happens to you?" Max said worriedly and i flashed him a smile
"i understand your point , don't worry, i spotted a garden across the forest side, I'd just go check it out and return quickly" i said excitedly and dashed off
Max sighed helplessly and just watched me leave
Max is my parents favorite assistant who they always put in charge of looking after me so that i would never step my foot out of our castle for the reason best known to them
But once in a while when my parents aren't at home,Max would let sneak out without other servants finding out
walking along the forest side, I came across a meadow once that looked as if it had stepped from the pages of a storybook. The grass was Eden-green and thigh-high to a thrush. The mountains in the distance had peaks that looked as cruel as a hag's teeth. It was the only part of the meadow that looked off in some way. The rest of it was paradise.
It wasn't just the sights that pleased the senses. The sounds, smells and tastes were out of this world also. The sky above the meadow was a feast for the eyes. It stretched as far as the eye could see in a dome of cocktail-blue, punched with fluffy clouds. Squeaking swallows chased whirring dragonflies in a dance of life and death.
A neon-blue ribbon of river ran through the centre of the meadow. A party of yolk-yellow ducklings scattered from under my feet as I approached it, crashing into the water. The song of the river was very gentle as it went plinking and tinkling over the gravel bed.
The music of the meadow came to my ears above the sound of the water: the dawn chorus, buzzing midges and the whispering of the wind. I could smell the sweetness of cherry blossoms and the caramel soft scent of flowers in the air. It was so soothing that I lay my head against a mossy rock and drifted into a deep sleep. When I awoke, I was very hungry so I dug up some wild onions. I put them into the beef sandwich I had brought and bit into them. They were so fresh their zingy taste felt like electric sherbet in my mouth. I could feel some dewdrops of rain on my head. The cloud soon passed, leaving the grass and earth to steam gently like druid- smoke.
As I made my way home, the first stars started to flicker in the night sky. They looked like someone had thrown fairy dust into the air and a black blanket had caught them. I swore I would return someday to this meadow, a piece of lost heaven.
Sadly, I have never been able to find it again.
But that day, in the heaven-like meadow, i came across a library and found a golden starry looking object
The golden star shone brightly creating some rays of light in the dark meadow
it was strange because I've never came across anything as beautiful as that.
i wanted it, so i kept it. Sadly, i won't be able to go the the garden i spotted again today
it's already late, i wondered how Max is putting up
i just hope my parents hasn't caught on.
i kept the shiny starry object inside my hand bag and sauntered home, but suddenly, three boys who seems a bit older than me appeared before me in a domineering manner and eyed me.
"Hey human, what the hell are you doing here?" Hulk asked in akimbo
i scoffed
"why are you characterizing the word *human as if you aren't one?" i asked and the boys all bursted into a laughter
"Hey! do you even know where you are?" hulk asked
"i don't know, where am i?" i asked abruptly and hulk smirked and moved closer towards me in an intimidating manner
"you've got some nerves huh! bloody human" he said and i chuckled
"hey, are you a ghost?" i asked and he swung his arm without touching me and i fell sprawled on the ground with a full force
"you see that? that proves that I'm not human but I'm also far from a ghost you know, i belong to a royal family in the supernatural world, i bet you don't know anything about that, and you are in the forbidden counterpart that leads to many dangerous paths, i wonder what a bloody human is doing here so late at night" Hulk said and hovered over me
"If this is a forbidden place, then you shouldn't be here also" i said and he kicked me violently earning a low groan from me
"awww" i groaned and he kicked me again, again and again
"how dare you Huh? how dare you question me in my territory? who the h*ll do you think you are, you scum?!" hulk hollered angrily and i could sense the tension within the other two boys
"And what's that thing glowing in your hand bag?" he asked and hovered over me, ready to pick out the golden star object i found earlier
i gripped tightly on the bag, preventing him from taking out the golden star object but he shook my hand with the small dagger in his hand and i yelped in pain
"huuu, i like that sound, you've been trying to hold in the pain, tsk tsk" Hulk tsked and tend to pick out the golden star object again but a soft tiny voice stopped him
"Enough of the bully now, who are you guys? I've never come across you in the kingdom, which clan are you from?" the young girl asked and in a blink of an eye, the boys scattered and ran off
"ahh" i groaned softly as i tried and stood up
"Thanks" i thanked and stared at her faceless face
It was dark so i could only see her blazing blue hazel eyes
"You are bleeding" she said and wanted to take my hand but i shoved her off politely
"uh, its fine, its dangerous here at night, i can find my way from here, thanks" i asked and the girl glared at me angrily
"oh, are you telling me you'd leave me, your helper here and go home? you said yourself that its dangerous here at night" the girl said angrily and i smiled briefly
"But you seem to know your way around here more than i do, i mean, seeing how you scared off those boys" i said and she scoffed
"you are too much of a talkative for someone who was trampled upon" she eyed me and i laughed
"its too dark so i might not be able to recognize you when next we meet, so why don't you tell me your name? I'm jason maxwell" i introduced
"oh, i don't think you need to know my name to recognize me next time, my sparkling blue eyes is one of a kind, besides, i don't think we'd be meeting again because i won't be coming here anymore, its nice to meet you though, Jace maxwell" the girl said and a bright smile whiplashed on my face and my dimples deepened in
"its not Jace, its Jason" i corrected
"since you don't know anything about me, I'd tell you one of my flaws, I'm a very lazy type so Jason sounds too long and stressful so I'd call you Jace instead" she said and my smile widened
"fine, Jace sounds nice anyway" i said and for the first time, the girl smiled lightly
"I'm glad you like it, bye then, see you whenever!" she waved at me and dashed off without waiting for me to speak anymore
i smiled excitedly for the first time in my life and headed back home
