Capítulo 20: Chapter 20: Only Bram

Grant’s perspective:

“Wait a second,” I say, grabbing hold of Gabby’s shoulder. “Where do you think you’re going?”

“With you.”

“No, ma’am,” I respond as the rest of the pack heads for the front door. “You two aren’t going with us.”

“You expect us to stay here? I won’t let Austin go without me.”

“You will.”

Still holding Gabby from bolting out the door, I grab Emily’s hand and face it palm up, then pull my truck keys out of my pocket and show both sisters. “These are the keys to my truck.” I place them in Emily’s hand. “Go. Leave now. When I come back, I will find you.”

“We can’t. We have to go with you. This is our fight,” Emily says.

“This is no time to argue. Go,” I order.

Before following the pack, I clasp Emily’s chin and pull her to me. “I will come back. I promise.” I kiss her, then run for the front door without looking back.
