Capítulo 38: Chapter 38: Love, Blood, and Fangs

Julia Locke POV:

Marcus ended up falling asleep on the bed with me, and while it wasn’t how I envisioned our first date going, we got to spend the night together in the end. I was back to my old self by the next morning (and by that, I mean my young and beautiful self). The medic who had worked on me the night before came in with food and coffee for Marcus shortly after we woke up, along with instructions to meet with Rob and where to find him.

Marcus was still weak and unsteady on his feet even after getting some food in him. Fortunately for him, he had me to help him along.

The address where we were supposed to meet Rob was the towns’ lone truck stop, with further instructions for us to go to the stops’ garage.

When we go there, the where two truck parked outside the garage, and quite a few people standing guard, but I wasn’t concerned. Though Marcus didn’t seem to share that sentiment.

“This is too many people,” he warned me quietly.
