Capítulo 14: The new friend
As Expected, I could see the green light again. As I looked in the face of Joe, I could see how surprised he was. Around him, I could see some glimmering light. I tried to punch it and as expected my hand didn't come through this wall of light that is surrounding Joe. It really was the perfect shield.
After I had looked over the shield over and over again, he finally said something: "thank you so much!" I think this was the first time, that someone thanked me for giving them an ability. He commented something else though, that let me think if I ever would give an ability away, that actually doesn't have any side effects. I thought this, because he commented: "It would probably have been better, if this wasn't a passive skill."
I mean, WTF? How could a passive skill like this be any good at all. This skill makes it so, that he never even has the possibility to touch somebody anymore. I am already happy enough, that at least objects can pass through this barrier...
As I thought about this, I could see my system again. It showed a time, it seems to say that if this timer is up, then I can awake more people. Though it seems like I will need to wait quiet some time again, until I can awake more people again. The countdown shows: 4:364:23:10:57.
Man this is a long time, it seems to show: Years : days : hours : minutes : seconds. I guess I should find some new hobby for myself...

I was finally ready to kill my prey, as I had prepared some items that will help me, if something would go wrong. The only thing I regret is, that I couldn't get a gun, but what can I do, it's normal that you can't get them anymore nowadays as they don't work against monsters and most people just hunt monsters and so on with the old things like swords and and things like this. But I probably wouldn't need it anyways. I probably wouldn't need my skeletons as well.
I went to the house of the hunter and made myself be prepared. I learned something cool, some time ago. I can let my skeletons be summoned, and they will just vanish as if they were never there, to begin with. So as I entered the garden of the house I only then summoned the skeletons. Some green lights could be seen, but they weren't to light and I could enter the house without being seen.
It may be day right now and most wouldn't sleep at this time, but I knew that this hunter is always sleeping in the day and is only awake in the night, though the only thing he does is drinking. Because I knew this, I instantly went through a Window, that was at the second floor of this house. Afterwards I went to the bedroom of him, and could finally see him.
i tried to make no noise, as I entered the room. I mean I'm no contract killer or something, but I still coldly sliced the throat of this poor person and brought him back to life under my control. I didn't think it would be this easy to kill a hunter. Now, there was only one question left, does he still have the same ability as before?
I commanded my new skeleton to show his ability, and could finally see why this guy seemed to be this sad about his ability. He had the ability to create a small, non-toxic puff of smoke. And if I say a small puff of smoke I really mean a really really tiny bit of smoke, that isn't even toxic.
I should probably aim to kill some kind of 9th rank guy or something next time, instead of a 10th ranked one. In the moment I thought about this, I could see my system window again.

I already waited for quite some time for the other guys to finally return. It already got boring to talk to Joe and I finally decided to turn the TV on.
As I turned the TV on, I could see this show:
You all know, who the strongest hunter of the first generation is, right? But do you also know, who the weakest is? No? Yeah, we also didn't know it, which was the reason we decided to go out of our way and search for him. You all should know, that the first generation of hunters, who all awakened pretty much 20 years ago, were the strongest generation that appeared up to this day.
We searched until we found him, his name is Joe Werner. He isn't just the weakest, but also the oldest hunter, there is up to this day. This year, he is 99 years old, though it is not known, how old an awakened can get, but he is definitely the oldest there is. His ability is just to create any kind of "normal" food he had seen before. This ability was quite helpful 20 years ago, but nowadays, it's just useless...
I was really surprised at seeing, Joe here. He was the first person I awakened after all. There was even a picture of him and many personal information, like where he lives and how big his family is. I was kinda sad for him, as many of his information's were leaked, while he just wanted to live happily.
At the same time, I thought it was really bad to know two people with the same name.
I was also surprised, that a news channel would do something like this. "Shouldn't they talk about news in the world, instead of speaking about old men to embarrass them." I said this out load, though I didn't want to do it, it wasn't a bad thing either, as it was really what I thought...
