Once the third outer wall is completed, it is planned to make a landing highway for cargo planes that would help a lot with the mobility of resources, also have to consider the construction of departmental buildings where they plan to transfer hundreds of survivors, and finally completely rebuild the central area of the base.
This is because the central zone must be a complex command zone, which communicates with all the bases around the domain at their disposal. With this, the second walled zone will meticulously build places for thousands of people to live and in turn create hundreds of greenhouses.
Finally, the third immense wall that covers a terribly large terrain, must be worked to grow crops. As many crops as possible to sustain the feeding of the whole organization, with this they would have a higher food productivity.
An increase in residential buildings is necessary. The central base is currently bursting at the seams with population. Therefore, these days about five hundred people will be transferred and trained by Sam Valdez to become soldiers.
They also plan to move areas outside the walls such as without livestock, barns, greenhouses and unimportant car garages, and then use these original sites to build more dormitories to accommodate more survivors.
Importantly, the interior of the base will not be moved temporarily, and the dormitories will be built directly outside, and new survivors will be placed outside.
But after careful consideration, Airon felt this was not good. First of all, the livestock were susceptible to some diseases, some of which even threatened humans, so moving the animals out was the best option at this time.
And people have ideas, they raise cattle inside the city walls, but they are not allowed to live inside, it is easy for people to have ideas after a long time of thinking about whether there are social classes in the different city walls.
There is also the issue of sustainable development, in this sense we have to consider some more things in the long term, take energy as an example, as we all know, even if gasoline is stored for longer than you actually have, there will be a day when gasoline is not of high quality and it will reach a point of deterioration, when the time comes, the energy in the base will be affected so solar panels should be increased.
The others are fine, the most important thing is the laboratory, where the power should never be cut.
As for weapons and ammunition, it is obvious that CRM and the Federation already have the capacity to manufacture ammunition, and must solve this problem as soon as possible at least in the central base.
There are factories and millions of cartridges that have been collected from all the military bases in Atlanta so a weapons factory needs to be built at the central base.
There is also some infrastructure, such as more water wells, more agricultural facilities, they have a lot of livestock, these animals should be used as soon as possible, not only for food, short distances can be traveled on horseback and cultivated land. Farm livestock can be used, and chickens and ducks can also be released after building a fenced place.
Anyway, the purpose of everything is to create one's own ecosystem of a beautiful and ideal place, and gradually turn it into such a stable and sustainable apocalyptic city over time. Only by laying a solid foundation can we move toward a larger goal outside the states.
To create such an ecosystem, it is inevitable to solve some detailed problems, such as the circulation system at the base.
Minor aspects such as human and livestock excrement, household garbage, some headaches to be solved, minor diseases, and even mosquitoes in summer.
The smaller the details, the easier it is to cause big problems. It takes time to solve these problems, which involves the construction of many facilities, such as septic tanks, garbage collection, pharmaceuticals, manufacturing, etc.
As for the big issues, there are more things to consider, such as the water cycle. This water cycle is not nature's water cycle, but the base water cycle. As we all know, well water can be used directly, and the surrounding soil is the best filter that can be found.
However, not all of the base's current water use is well water. There is a small stream next to the base, which is also the reason for the moat. The water has always been drawn from the moat before, so the establishment of a filtration system must also be put on the agenda to build a water tower at the base to facilitate the daily use of water.
Of course, there are other aspects that need to be improved, and this should be gradually improved in the future. These plans will only improve the performance of the base.
The last thing to mention is Airon's strange ideas, one of which is about utilizing the greatest resource today.
The walking dead!
That's right, the undead.
In the original story, almost every community considers the undead a scourge and they all tend to avoid them, but Airon thinks that as long as they are used well, the living corpse is actually the greatest resource of the last days.
Walkers have three advantages: manpower, biogas and compost.
It is hard to imagine why all people abandon them and do not take advantage of such an important resource.
As a sort of perpetual motion machine-like existence, walkers can be used to perform heavy labor, even to generate electricity, all it takes is to attach a few more gears or pulleys.
Cut off the arm of the walker, pull out its teeth and hang a bell on the front, like a donkey pulling a mill, what a simple matter from which they can derive infinite benefits.
Biogas is also a very good source of renewable energy. Since the walkers will eventually rot, it means that microorganisms also play an important role. If you disassemble them into pieces and throw them directly into the biodigester, you will get clean energy.
If you can produce biogas, you can naturally compost it. Of course, some people have been composting for a long time, and now it's just to scale up.
People seriously looked at the content written on the documents, sometimes exclaiming, sometimes with admiration, the originally boring plan now looked like a wonderful novel, and everyone was particularly fascinated by it.
But they also understood why the commander looked so distressed when he entered the room. There were so many things to do, so it's no wonder he wasn't distressed.
But it's all for the base, to make everyone's life better and better, no matter how difficult it is.
Seeing that basically everyone had finished watching, Airon straightened up as well.
"Since you have mostly read the contents of those files, I want to hear your views."
...
After some negotiations, a detailed development direction was worked out. Seeing that everyone present was full of enthusiasm, he pounded the table.
"Okay, these are the tentative plans for the next large-scale development plan. We will improve as we go along, and the tasks have been sent out." Everyone will be busy starting tomorrow, people answered one after another, and only one person hesitated to answer."
And again, just as he was about to raise his hand to point, he heard Airon speak again.
"Well, I have to leave tomorrow. Daryl rounds up two people to go out with me tomorrow. Negan, T-dog you two will follow me. Alright, that's it, we're going to dinner tonight. The meet and greet we'll all do back at the base."
"Wow!"
The crowd dispersed, and a small stage had already been set up in the outdoor plaza, and several grills were also set up.
Food at the base is not scarce now, but not rich enough to make wine, but the reserves are large. Group members searched for all kinds of wine in the corners of the city, enough for people at the base to splurge for a while.
However, the control on the base is relatively strict in ordinary hours, and drinking can not affect the work, and it is even more forbidden for those who go out to drink.
Only when you come across a scene like today can you have a good drink, but in this kind of celebration it is not good to look at Guillermo's face.
Several musical instruments were set up on the stage, and several members of the team even took a piano out of the room.
By the time everyone entered the courtyard, it was already dark, and the courtyard was surrounded by thousands of people, even the surrounding walls were surrounded by people.
It was the first time newcomers like Ezekiel had seen a large-scale event on the base, and the scene scared them straight.
Now everyone believed that there was a group of more than twenty thousand survivors.
It had been a long time since they had seen a scene where thousands of people came together.
