Miami Beach - 1:00 AM

Ilaria ran for her life. A life she knew was now over.

She could never return. Nothing would ever be the same again.

Anyway, the gargantuan yellow haired creature continued to pursue her. She knew he would catch her eventually. There was no escaping something like that.

She made it to the top of the condo building, coming to a stop at the edge of the roof. Crouching, she looked out over the glittering waters of the intercoastal. The colorful reflection of the Miami skyline spread out across its surface.

Where was she going to go? What was she going to do? The club probably had cameras. They would identify her right away. She had left her phone and ID behind.

Suddenly she heard the sound of breaking rock and grunting. She turned to see the yellow beast of a man cresting the rooftop. What the hell was he?

He held up a hand, “Now wait. Let’s just talk for a moment.” His breathless voice was a deep rumbling sound.
