The eggplants and cowpeas were gone, but there were still tomatoes. Zhang Chunxiang had claimed them. The girl's tomatoes were large and ripe, even better than those sold in the market. They were of good quality since the village tomatoes were not growing well without a plastic greenhouse, resulting in small, sour fruits.
