Hermes, who was watching all that, decided to play with the situation a little. "Professor, what do you think of other gods like Hermes?"
Hela smiled at Hermes' question and seriously considered ignoring him. "I'm not an expert on Greek Mythology... But I believe he's like a wildcard when it comes to the reality of the Greeks, he does everything asked of him and he seems to converse perfectly with anyone... Perceptive and helpful."
Hermes smiled confidently, Hela's words sounded like high praise.
Hearing that, Ina also wanted to join in the fun. "What about the goddess Ina?"
Hela grinned and for the first time the students could see a bit of sweetness before them.
The teacher could be serious and say things not very understandable, but she was a woman in love and full of sweetness for her wife.
Hela thought for a while, felt a little embarrassed. "When we studied her story we realized that she means kindness and compassion to those most in need... A goddess who cannot see and who upon dying of hunger is bestowed with eternal life, she is definitely someone who excels in beauty and benevolence... Perhaps a symbol of hope, if you have it with you nothing should go wrong..."
Ina could feel her heart racing.
Hela's words were sweet and kind, filled with good feelings and sensations.
Ina for a few seconds felt like she was about to cry and smiled awkwardly, but even so, her smile was still beautiful and light.
Knowing that her wife saw her that way was in many ways rewarding.
Hermes, who was watching everything attentively, smiled when he saw Ina moved and with a slight snap of his fingers, he produced a handkerchief so that she could wipe away the tears that insisted on falling.
Ina thanked her with a smile.
Hele sighed a little anxiously, wishing she could hug and kiss Ina.
She stared at the clock and it had been some time since she had started to speak.
"Well... I'm going to ask you to read the first reference book for my discipline that should introduce you to the beginnings of what we understand as Norse Mythology... Don't think too much about grades, I ask you to focus on studying and attending classes and although many things seem confusing at first you will have a better understanding over time... Well, that's all for today and see you at the first official class next week."
Hela smiled in satisfaction and all the students started to get ready to leave and leave.
Hela walked softly over to where Ina was sitting and lowered herself gently so that the two of them were at approximately the same height.
Ina touched her wife's face and smiled "You were great."
Hela could feel her face a little warmed and it comforted her.
She took her wife's hand and placed a soft kiss.
"I made it just because you were here with me... You are my certainty that everything will be fine..."
Ina smiled a little sheepishly and continued stroking Hela's face. "Do you think you are in a bad position to be in need of my benevolence?"
Hela denied it. "I used to need your benevolence... Today I just need your love, that's why I'm strong... I'm strong for having you."
Ina and Hela smiled at each other and just didn't kiss because they knew the situation wasn't the most convenient for exacerbated displays of affection.
Hermes thanked the heavens.
Why were they both so sweet?!
He got up excitedly, mainly to get away from that couple in love. "Let's take advantage of everyone gone and let's go to the office."
Hela and Ina also got up.
Everyone seemed ready to move on and it wasn't long before they were finally inside the office.
Hela had a large room that she would share with another teacher.
Interestingly, the teacher who would share the room with Hela was exactly the person in charge of researching the Holy Grail.
Hermes was really efficient.
Ina hugged her wife once more and Hermes, tired of being left behind, quickly said goodbye and walked away, leaving the couple completely at ease.
Ina wrapped Hela in her arms and kept her face close to the crook of her wife's neck.
Finally they would be alone.
After what happened in Asgard, Hermes hadn't left their side in any instant, which in a way was a problem for a couple in love.
"Did you enjoy the class?"
Hela whispered as she felt Ina's breath hit her skin.
Ina nodded, she was tired.
She had used her third eye for much longer than she was used to and the cost was all of her life energy being completely drained.
"I like it, you look like a sexy teacher..."
Hela smiled, feeling funny.
"If you saw the students' horrified eyes, you would think I was an executioner."
Ina smiled and met her wife's eyes.
Hela always felt breathless at the sight of the bloodshot eyes.
Her legs weakened automatically. "I just think you're the best ever."
Ina brought her face close to Hela's and gently brought her lips to hers.
"I'm proud of you… I love you so much."
Hela smiled and all she wanted at that moment was to cease any distance between them.
That's how a kiss filled with desire and heat began.
Hela could feel the grip on her waist tightening and her breathing becoming more labored.
The tangle of lips, tongues, was intense and uncertain.
They didn't know where they were going, they just knew they needed to get home as soon as possible.
Despite the incessant kisses, Hela could still feel someone's presence approaching.
Carefully she walked away from Ina and despite her questioning look, they didn't have much time to talk about it.
The door opened in a matter of seconds.
A woman appeared accompanied by half a dozen people who by the looks of it should be students.
The woman looked at Hela and Ina and felt intrigued. "Boys, I have no intention of working overtime just grading papers to make sure you get above average grades… Just give up on that idea."
The woman remained serious in front of the students and they were completely anguished and complicated.
They didn't try to convince her and left the room as quickly as they entered.
Hela smiled briefly and walked over to the woman to greet her. "Hello, I'm Hela the new teacher..."
The woman who previously kept herself serious, corrected her posture and smiled in amusement. "My name is Lauren Gordon, I specialize in divine relics and currently keep myself busy researching the Holy Grail."
Hela smiled, yes, that woman should help her a lot in the future.
Ina, Hela and Lauren stayed in that room for many hours talking about historical facts... Mainly about the Holy Grail.
Basically Lauren was about to undertake a great trip, an archaeological expedition would be made in an attempt to find evidence of the location of the Holy Grail.
The woman was talking animatedly about her work and how everything indicated that she would be very successful on this trip.
Hela and Ina were infected with Lauren's animation and if they didn't interrupt, they could spend many hours just listening to her talk.
Hermes was no longer with them, but the problem would probably arise at another time.
But Hela wanted to take a little break and take a walk with Ina.
However, they did commit to asking Lauren out for dinner sometime so they could continue the conversation.
Good, really friendly.
Hela and Ina walked in slow steps, feeling the soft breeze against their faces.
With their hands intertwined they walked towards the new house.
The feeling of living in a place teeming with life and movement was so different yet rejuvenating.
They remained for a thousand years in the middle of nothingness, where there was only darkness.
Now they could walk unpretentiously through the streets and simply contemplate the people and the place.
Ina still felt tired, but she felt truly happy.
The two briefly sat on a bench in the middle of a square and intertwined their fingers.
They kept leaning against each other and enjoyed each other's pleasant presence.
Until the emergence of a small noise.
Ina blushed with embarrassment, her stomach rumbled with hunger.
Hela laughed, feeling funny.
They weren't used to Ina acting like a human, in all the thousand years they'd lived together Ina hadn't felt hungry and barely felt sleepy. But now she was a mortal and it would be normal for her to have different needs than they had before.
Hela looked around and there were a few restaurants already in business. "How about we go out to dinner tonight?"
Ina was about to activate her third eye when she felt the gentle touch on her face.
Hela stroked her lightly and whispered. "Don't push yourself too hard… Remember when we first met and you just decided to trust me? Let's eat something delicious and go home to rest."
Ina smiled a little bewildered, but she nodded.
The two intertwined their fingers and walked to a random restaurant where they could eat without thinking too much about what the future had in store for them.
You must ask yourself about the frequency of chapters, Aurore is participating in the content Romance Carnival and if you are informed you should know that 100,000 words is one of the criteria to make the story eligible for the award... Well, I don't know if I will win and if i have a chance with this storyline haha, but i'm trying and i'm having fun in the process (which i think is the most important thing). I assume it's a very frantic pace of posts for me to get the amount of words in time, but I'm trying hard, it won't be for lack of effort haha. Well, I hope you guys can support me with your comments, power stones and reviews. It helps a lot and motivates me. I think that when it arrives in mid-February we will have chapters in lesser frequency, but everything will depend on the story itself. Also, don't forget that I have other stories in progress, I hope you might be interested in reading the others and when you miss Aurore know that there are others that can entertain you. :) lol this got pretty long, did you read all of it? write 'peanut' in the comments if you did haha
Creation is hard, cheer me up!
Hela and Ina walked hand in hand into a restaurant and it didn't take long to get a table and be served.
The two talked excitedly about the new experience among humans and especially about how everything is so different and interesting.
The main entertainment of gods was to observe humans.
Fruit of his likeness and power.
Some would view them as eternally maturing children.
Others would simply enjoy watching humans as if they were just little ants wanting to live big.
Hela watched the humans with curiosity.
Many times she was horrified and many times she was amused.
Well, it was true that humans often didn't have to try hard to be pitiful.
The restaurant they were in was relatively calm and quiet which made the atmosphere even more pleasant.
Ina feeling her hands being intertwined with Hela's, she smiled at the gentle touch.
Hela was pleased in many ways, most notably that her wife seemed to like their new location.
That was a situation she never imagined living, but there she was living everything intensely.
The emergence of Ina was a major turning point in her life, maybe it was love at first sight.
But being with her was never a punishment, it was nice and peaceful.
Ina was full of delicacy and comfort.
In the thousand years they lived together, Ina always showed great interest in living with her in Niflheim and although Hela initially felt apprehensive about it, today she believed that they could be happy there.
It was true that Niflheim was not a great place to live, there would be all souls be they good or bad.
Niflheim is the base of the Nordic universe, cold and filled with mist.
Gateway for the souls of those not able to go to Asgard, but it was also where the Nibelumgos lived.
A race of dwarves who lived in underground areas as a way to stay away from the souls that roamed those lands and the constant cold that plagued Nilfheim.
Also, in Niflheim were Helheim.
Helheim was the place where Hela lived and it was where souls went after being judged and having their destiny decided and ceased, it was like a huge quiet and cold hill.
Hela lived in a hut at the top of the hill.
It seemed like a perfect spot for souls to finally rest.
Helheim was the afterlife, the final destination. That was where all souls would go.
The souls after being judged would walk towards the top of the hill and there they would find two doors.
The first would allow definitive entry into the vastness of Helheim and the other gave access to the depths of Nilfheim: Niflhel.
Niflhel was inhospitable and completely covered in ice like a huge cavern and it was where evil souls would go.
Hela had no more questions about eternity.
They would live happily wherever they were and Ina could choose to live in Nilfheim or not.
There would be plenty of time to sort that out, for the time being living among humans would be fun and enriching.
They would enjoy every little experience.
The two talked in a few whispers and were only interrupted when the waiter finally showed up to take her order.
"Good evening, ladies… Have you already chosen what you intend to order?"
The man was smiling and cordial, as well as full of accent.
Yes, it is really curious how each region had its particularities and this was clearly visible in the way of speaking.
After Hela and Ina asked about the menu options, it didn't take them long to choose the chef's suggestion.
They didn't have much experience eating something that wasn't made by them, so they would just hope it was a good suggestion and they could eat something delicious.
The waiter quickly walked away and the two women continued to chat happily, but something intrigued them.
Hela, after receiving her powers back, became much more sensitive to the approach of strangers... She was always attentive to the possibility of an attack or unwanted visit.
Ina didn't have the same sensitivity as Hela, but she could see auras even if there were obstacles between her and the other individual.
"Someone is approaching..."
Ina heard Hela's voice and nodded immediately activating her third eye.
Hela wasn't making a fuss, she just knew someone would be arriving soon, but she couldn't tell who was approaching.
She didn't have the same ability as Ina to distinguish auras, she could only do that with souls and when she was in her domain in Niflheim.
Living beings whether mortal or immortal did not enter Hela's spectrum, she could only sense the approaching intentions.
Ina felt curious about the possibility of someone approaching her and it seemed impossible not to activate her third eye, but it was a difficult situation, really difficult.
She was already exhausted and just kept pushing her body using her third eye.
The restaurant had a lot of people and there were very good and very bad auras, it was a huge festival of possibilities.
Many people who were there seemed naturally ready to commit atrocities and just thinking about that possibility made her shiver.
All that effort just made her head spin and all that simply from the fact of watching everyone around her.
Hela immediately covered Ina's eyes, her wife every time she used her third eye she looked paler and it only made her more and more uncomfortable.
Hela wouldn't let anything happen to them, Ina was safe.
She would kill and die to keep her wife safe.
Hela sighed worried, not with the approach, but with the possibility of Ina continuing to force her body in an inconsequential way.
"Don't worry, it's not a threat..."
Ina bit her lip in apprehension, she just hated the fact that she couldn't see normally.
Living in eternal darkness could be regrettable in many ways, but it was easy to get used to when all you knew was that.
But when you finally get to see the beauties of the world, but the cost is so high... All you can feel is frustration.
The questioning of its existence seemed constant.
Ina couldn't even see her wife without feeling exhausted after a few hours.
What was supposed to be a gift could easily become a burden.
Hela who was sitting opposite Ina quickly got up to sit next to her.
"Love… Nothing will happen to you or me while we're together… I warned you not to be surprised and not to strain your eyes… Trust me."
Ina could feel Hela's arms around her, the contact was comfortable and tender.
She sighed in frustration, but accepted the situation and mostly accepted trusting her wife completely.
Hela was right, they were together and nothing would happen to them.
Ina touched Hela's hand and pulled it away from her eyes.
She laced your fingers together with her and snuggled into her hug.
"I just wish I could help you..."
Hela heard Ina's whispered voice, filled with frustration and wailing.
She gently kissed her wife's cheek and spoke. "We'll have an eternity together, we're still going through so much… I don't want you to push yourself too hard worrying about small things."
Ina heard those words and felt her heart race.
Hela in Ina's eyes was like the personification of love.
Always beautiful and overflowing with affection.
Ina nodded and smiled softly. "Do you still feel the person approaching?"
Hela stopped briefly to concentrate on the sensations and she could feel the person's presence growing stronger.
"Yes, it should be here in a few seconds."
Ina sighed with complicated feelings, there would always be doubts about others' intentions.
She didn't feel entirely safe knowing that she could die at any moment.
It was scary and intense.
Gods could see her as a threat or even her being a victim of human unpredictability.
Hela could already see the person in question and sighed in relief as she realized who she was.
She gently touched Ina's hand and whispered. "It's Loki."
Ina sighed in relief.
In a few moments she just heard the chair being pulled out and smiled gently towards the sound.
Loki smiled at the two, he knew perfectly well about Ina not seeing naturally so he should express his feelings with words.
Without much time to initiate any dialogue, they were quickly approached by the waiter.
The young man had prepared the table for only two people, so when one more person appeared, he quickly went to the table.
Hela smiled softly and pointed at her father. "Bring one more dish for our guest..."
Loki smiled and quickly shook his head. "No need, I won't linger... Can I have a glass of mead?"
The waiter looked at Loki a little confused... There was no mead on the menu.
He felt a little anxious about turning down a customer's request. "Sorry, we only do whiskey, wine and champagne..."
Loki made an expression filled with frustration.
Humans didn't appreciate the value of a good drink, really disappointing.
Hela smiled at her father's funny expression and Ina also looked amused by the situation.
Loki's voice was full of frustration and irony.
Really funny.
Loki propped his face in the palm of his hand and surrendered to human preferences... temporarily. "Whisky then."
The waiter smiled warmly and quickly left the table. "Okay, I'll bring it right away..."
Loki sighed and just watched the waiter pull away a bit to abruptly change his features.
He went from complete frustration to complete amusement.
"Thank you… I'm sorry to show up uninvited, I just felt worried about my daughter and daughter-in-law."
