Skyler's POV
Stanley came the next day together with my father and the day after that, and for the entire time I was confined in that hospital, he never missed a day. I underwent so many tests and rehabilitation, and the more they visited me, the more I felt useless.
I insisted on being discharged even if the doctors were telling me to stay. I didn't want to be in the hospital anymore; the smell of the disinfectant made me feel sick.
The city scans showed no progress, and I knew my case was hopeless. No matter how I opened my eyes, I couldn't see anything. I could only see some lights, but aside from that, nothing. I couldn't make out Pam's face and the rest.
I couldn't leave the house and drive my car; I even found it hard to navigate my damn home since I only stayed here in this mansion during weekends or my free time; I mostly stayed in my penthouse near the city center.
