Capítulo 42: Richard Thorne

Dinner in the Thorne residence knew how to be complicated, but Richard Thorne was back from his mission abroad. So, May couldn't wait to meet him.

She was still annoyed by finding out he was nowhere abroad just a few days before, but that didn't mean all he said was a lie. Maybe he returned on Saturday and, instead of coming home, he continued with his inspections. However, the thought that he lied to her with no regret was hurtful.

Not enough to avoid him, not nearly enough to stop loving him.

Just as usual, the Prime Minister was at the head of the table. On his left, there were his son and Lorelei while Richard and May were on the right.

«How are you doing, sister?» Richard asked. He did look so happy to see her after long, which confused her. He wasn't so far; he could contact her anytime and she would have ran a marathon to meet him.

«I'm studying hard,» she replied. «And how are you? How was your journey abroad? Was the weather nice?»
