Everly, who had finished her job for that night, walked out of the building with a cynical expression on her face.
She stepped out onto the road where she was meant to take a cab and lifted her head to look at the dark sky.
A drop of rain fell on her face, and a soft chuckle exited her mouth. "It's…raining." Her lips curled up into a smile, and instead of taking a cab, she began to walk down the road, ignoring the fact that the rain was beginning to pour heavier and heavier.
She arrived at a roadside bridge and halted, her eyes immediately caught by the sea underneath.
A deep breath fled her nose as she gazed at it. "Pretty." She muttered, feeling heavily sad for reasons she couldn't tell.
She slowly turned around on hearing these low mutters of quarrels, and her eyes fell on a mother and a daughter who were quarreling for unknown reasons.
