Capítulo 35: Little Mate.

Eve sat with Ezriel at the dining table. Her head was buried in the plate for food before her but for some reason, she ate slowly and lesser than usual. She picked her food slowly and chewed slowly. A few times, she would raise her head and steal a glance in his direction before quickly glancing away. 

His eyes were fixed on her, deeply piercing into her bones that it made her self aware. She subconsciously used her free hand to pull the collar of her dress closer to her neck while she drank water to quell the thirst in her throat and moderate the heat on her face. Thinking back at the marks that his teeth left on her skin, she just could not face him. 

"Why are you covering it up? It is better if everyone can see it" Ezriel commented lightly. 

Cough! 

Eve almost choked on the water and she quickly dropped the cup. Heat rushed to her face and her cheeks were tainted with a natural hue. Even the maids that were hanging around could not hide their snicker.
