This was the question that constantly resurfaced in Brett's head whenever he faced an identity crisis.

For all it mattered, he did not remember anything about his life as a werewolf. He just knew that he felt comfortable living as a werewolf. The comfort was non-existent when he woke up as a werepire.

One major thing that underlined the differences between the two races, other than the clear superiority in terms of strength, was bloodlust.

Sure, werepires could survive on human food just fine, but there was this... thirst for more. For blood. And not just anyone's blood.

Brett broke through the water's surface like a whale breaching for some air. Only that he did not need any air. He was dead, after all.

The Alpha pushed away the wet strands of hair from his face. His hand then wandered slowly to the back of his neck, touching the thin layer of skin over his pheromone gland.

He felt worse than before.
