Close-up, the tower looked like a haunted, crumbling castle. As soon as Aiden and Ryan stepped into the front hall, they were greeted by a bunch of mirrors that were placed strategically to form a maze.

Ryan squeezed Aiden's hand.
"Don't let go of my hand," he said. The vampire then grabbed a wooden bat that lay inconspicuously on the dirty floor.
After summoning a shield to protect the both of them from glass splinters, he hit one of the mirrors with all of his might.
There was not even a single scratch in the mirror, only a loud clanging noise from the strong impact that echoed throughout the hall.
Aiden narrowed his eyes at the mirror, trying to cut through it to no avail. He shook his head at his lover.
"No good."
"I guess we have no other option but to follow this maze," Ryan chuckled.
Aiden turned around one last time to see that the projected hologram had already disappeared. What remained was the question of whether they were still alive or not.
