Capítulo 26: Taking The First Step...
Ryu walked to the open ground and started running. After running for some time, it was Push-ups.
As he was doing this, the sun came up. Ryu had become dead tired just from the running. But he was not ready to stop on the first day, before he could finish push-up. He already had been on the last thread.
'No, I cannot do this anymore. Yes, a break of five minutes and I will complete it!!" Ryu thought while stopping and trying to get up.
"Takk..." A small wooden cut hit Ryu's head.
"Aww..." he complained in pain and looked in the direction the bowl came from.
As his eyes trailed in the direction, he saw Roland sitting on the wooden chair, and there were more bowls kept on a side of Roland.
"Gulp!"
Seeing the bowls, Ryu gulped. He knew what those bowls were for.
Ryu started doing push-ups again.
As he did his 43rd push up, "Takk..." another bowl hit him.
"Aww, what was that for?" Ryu retorted in pain.
"Your back was not straight. Keep your posture good!" Roland said calmly while pouring some wine from a normal-looking bottle.
"What?" Ryu loudly spoke.
Roland raised a brow and looked at him, "Hmm!!"
"Nothing! It's nothing, I am doing it!!" Ryu spoke and did the remaining push-ups.
After completing the push-ups, he was already on the verge of collapsing.
He wanted to sit and take a break, but there was an old man not giving him some speaking of scope in that.
'It seems grandpa will work me to death! Will I be born again with memories? Ah alas, it seems my time has come!!'
As Ryu was thinking about this, another wooden bowl hit him.
"Ack!!, what the... What did I do this time?" Ryu asked, looking at Roland angrily.
"Who told you to daydream now?" Roland said and threw another bowl. "Takk..."
"Aww, it's hurting me grandpa! please stop it!!" There was some water in his eyes as he spoke those words.
Roland saw this but didn't say anymore. What he wanted was to make sure Ryu's mind gets stronger. This was also the reason for this training.
He did not want someone with a weak heart to be the successor of the Tatsuya clan. Roland wanted to increase his mind stronger so that he could handle the world when he stepped out.
Seeing the condition in which Ryu was in Roland did not throw another bowl, but stopped and let him have his time.
Seeing this, Ryu was perplexed.
'What happened? Is he not going to throw more bowls? or is he waiting for me to make mistakes? Ha!! I won't make mistakes if you are waiting for that!!'
He was still a child and could not see beyond the scope of a certain degree. If he had some knowledge of how this world exactly worked and what are the things are lurking out in the vastness, then he would have not thought this.
Roland was still looking at the child, who started working out again after some thinking.
Roland did not have to be a genius to guess what Ryu had thought. Thinking about this, Roland gave a slight smile and nodded a little. Ryu had taken the first step to the path that he would have to walk in the future.
If a person wants to walk the path of cultivation, then the first thing they should have is the heart of steel, if not diamond. And Roland was preparing him for that.
After a few minutes Ryu completed the workout and Sat in the cultivation position.
This time he completed strengthening the Muscles in the right hand completely. Though this was not without any pain, he still successfully did that.
'My right hand is strengthened now,' Ryu thought, trying to get up.
He was really happy that he had completed the strengthening of the muscles of the right hand.
Just as he was about to get up,
"Tackk..."
He forgot for a second there that he was still in the middle of training.
"Ahhh what is it NOW!!!!" Ryu was beyond the point of holding back
"Who told you to get up? Your body is still in an exhausted state, it's not yet time to stop!!" Roland spoke calmly.
He also didn't like hitting Ryu with the bowls, but this was for the child's betterment, ahem... not because of getting joy in it.

'I should not care much as I need to step up my cultivation then!' Ryu thought and started cultivating his whole body altogether??
He knew it might pain more, but this was his chance, and if it's a risk, there was an old man looking out for him.
As for the old man, he was frozen on a spot and was not even moving. While looking at Ryu, he spoke.
"Now I am sure of it. This is Martial Intent!!"
