With the current speed the car was going, He Juan managed to make it all the way to the highway, leaving the bustling city behind. But that also meant that his pursuers were no longer in the mood to relent and they tore after him with wild determination, discarding all inhibitions in their single-minded resolve to put an end to this chase. 

He Juan's eyes narrowed as he spotted someone in the rearview mirror brandishing a gun aimed directly at the car, and he swerved the wheel sharply just in time for the bullet to hit the asphalt beside his tire.

Of course, this could not be a solution in the long run. Furthermore, he could see that Ku Jin was closing in again with his motorcycle – which had only endured minor damages – while shouting angrily and giving him a middle finger.
