Capítulo 168: Revenge

His attacks became more aggressive but they were anything but sloppy. It was horrible timing, as Damien began to feel the familiar pain creeping up his leg. Before he had time to react, a shot of pain surged through his entire being.

Taken by surprise, he was brought to his knees in agony.

But Damien knew he didn't have time for this. He didn't have time to deal with the pain in his leg. So, he pushed through with sheer willpower and refocused his mind on his target.

"You will never defeat me, Damien!" Markus roared as he let out a burst of maniacal laughter.

He was standing before him, with a crazed look in his eyes. He clicked his fingers and the undead wolf he called a pet came at Damien too. Damien fought it off. He wanted to kill it, but remembering the words of his mate, he knocked her out instead.

The wolf crumbled to the ground, inciting Markus' anger.

"Pathetic," he spat as he lunged himself at Damien again.
