Capítulo 165: The Questioning

The king looked at Prince Rex with a suspicious look before he said, "Are you certain you were in the princess' chamber last night?"

Prince Rex replied, with a straight face, "Your Majesty, do not overthink it. The princess was devastated and I only kept her company."

"Young man, I wasn't overthinking," the king replied with a chuckle before his stretched cheeks turned into one with a few wrinkles, "I wasn't overthinking. If I was thinking about what you think I was thinking about, then that should be good news."

Prince Rex sat down properly, quite not understanding what his father was saying. Meanwhile, Princess Mariah who had been incredibly shocked some seconds ago suddenly became pissed, she walked backwards and ordered her maids to do the same. She wanted to hear what the prince and the king had to say about her without being caught.

"Your Majesty, what do you mean?"
