Capítulo 15: Chapter 15: Get Out Of My Way!
It was almost night time. The fulgent little star started to show up in the dark sky. And a moonlight shone effulgently above. The street lights along the road flicker now and then.
The shoot for today was finally over. The whole day was very tiring. Mei Lin already left the shoot venue with her assistant. The remaining ones were the staff of LovaLOga, the director, the photographer, Zai Hai, and Li Xia.
"Today's shoot went well. You all must be tired and hungry. Let's eat some food. The bill will be on me," Zai Hai announced.
"Can we order anything?" Li Xia asked in anticipation. Her stomach grumbled due to hunger.
"I will pay for it, don't worry," Zai Hai said with a bright smile.
"Then we should not let the food wait," Li Xia smiled happily and everyone screamed with happiness in unison. They decided to go to a nearby restaurant to get something to eat.
As soon as they entered the restaurant, the aroma of the fragrant dishes filled their nostrils.
Taking their seats, everyone ordered a variety of dishes: sweet and sour pork, spicy chicken wings, fried tofu, spicy squid, spicy meatballs, spring rolls, hotpot, and wine.
As they were waiting for the food they chatted casually. They talked about various topics and laughed. They enjoyed each other's company immensely. While Zai Hai and Li Xia were engrossed in talking about their university times and their life.
It wasn't difficult for others not to notice their closeness. Their smiles and giggles were always heard by everyone. They lingered their attention on their conversation.
"Do you guys know each other before?" One of them asked the other.
"Yes, Zai Hai was my senior and a friend at the university," Li Xia answered happily. Everyone wondered about the story behind it.
"We can smell gossip in this place," they responded in unison. Li Xia laughed lightly. She noticed their curious stares.
"There is no gossip," she said as she shook her head in denial.
"Yeah!" Zai Hai replied with hesitation and disappointment. but he quickly hid it with a faint smile.
A few minutes later, a waitress came to their table with their food. The savory aroma of the delicious meal was wafting through the air. Li Xia could only moan in delight. Her mouth watered as the smell got stronger.
They started to eat their food and drank wine. The conversations became more lively. After eating their food and drinking wine everyone was feeling content.
"Let's cheer!" Someone proposed and raised her glass in the air. A round of cheers followed and they began to drink their wine. The waiter brought them some more drinks which they drank. Their laughter echoed throughout the room. The atmosphere was getting louder and louder. As the alcohol started to take effect, people started to lose control. The party was getting wilder and wilder.
"Come come, let's cheer again! Li Xia suggested as she lifted her bottle.
"Alright let's do it!" everyone shouted in agreement. Everyone clapped their hands together and cheered loudly.
"Li Xia stop drinking! you are already drunk," Zai Hai, who was the soberest among them, said sternly.
Li Xia pouted, "I'm just getting started."
"You are already drunk," he said while shaking his head,
"I swear, I am sober," she replied while raising her three fingers in a swear gesture.
He sighed and shook his head before turning to the others, "Alright guys let's go home."
"No, we are going to karaoke!" one of them argued.
"Yes! Let's go," Li Xia exclaimed while standing up and raising her arm in the air. She stumbled a bit but Zai Hai quickly grabbed her waist and supported her.
"Okay let's go home. Everyone is going home," he said firmly.
After saying that he pulled Li Xia away from the table and led her outside to the parking lot.
He helped her to sit in the car. She looked so cute right now. Her cheeks were flushed and her eyes were half closed. She was still holding onto the bottle of wine.
"Here let me help you," he said as he took the bottle from her hand.
"Thank you," she said softly. He smiled at her little gesture. He fastened the safety belt around her. He sat down in the driver's seat and started the engine.
They arrived at her apartment complex in about 15 minutes and parked the car in front of the entrance.
After parking the car he got out of the car and opened the door for Li Xia to get out of it.
As she got out, she stumbled a little and leaned on the car for support.
"Are you okay?" He asked worriedly and held her arm to steady her balance.
"Ya, I am totally fine. You can leave now. It's getting late. I'll take care of myself," Li Xia waved his hand as if trying to dismiss him.
"I'm not leaving until you are inside your apartment safely," Zai Hai insisted.
"I am sober enough to take care of myself." Li Xia insisted.
Zai Hai looked at her for a few seconds and then sighed deeply, "Ok. I'll see you tomorrow at the shoot."
"Ok. Goodnight," Li Xia nodded her head. She gave him a small smile as a farewell before entering her building.
Zai Hai returned to the car and drove off. He didn't even turn on his engine. Instead, he just looked in the direction where he left Li Xia to make sure she entered her apartment.

Luo Yuan parked his car in the parking lot and walked towards the apartment complex. As soon as he entered he saw Li Xia leaning and knocking at the door of his apartment.
"Luo Yuan! You bastard! Open up the door!" she yelled through the door impatiently.
He couldn't understand what she wants now, as he remembered that he made himself very much clear in the morning.
"Luo Yuan! Do you dare to talk face-to-face? Open up right now!" she kept roaring and kicking the door.
"If she continues like this everyone will be awakened," Luo Yuan thought and sighed in vexation. He went near her and stood behind her with his left hand in his pocket.
"I am here," he called her attention. She turned around immediately and stared angrily at him.
"You dare to talk face-to-face!" she pointed her index finger at his face but misstepped a bit backward. But instantly caught up her balance.
"Are you drunk?" Luo Yuan asked with his brows slightly furrowed.
"Ssshhhh...I am sober," Li Xia said while closing her eyes and placing a index finger on her lips.
"If you are sober then get out of my way. Your voice is too loud to wake everyone here," Luo Yuan complained.
"I am not leaving without talking today!" she yelled furiously as she pointed her finger at his nose.
"What do you want?" Luo Yuan asked in annoyance after hearing her continuous outburst.
"I will tell you what I want," Li Xia stated confidently and raised her head. She took some steps towards him until she was standing face to face with him.
"Didn't I tell you to stay away from me the more the better," he asserted while trying to take some steps backward. But Li Xia was quick, she tiptoed on her feet and wrapped her arms tightly around his neck. He tried to push her away but failed miserably.
"Stop struggling and listen to me for once!" She demanded. She tilted her head back slightly so they could look into each other's eyes.
"Today we must talk!" she smiled with her eyes closed. Her cheeks were flushed red due to the alcohol she had consumed.
The question is what she was trying to do? Wasn't he telling her to stay away from him?
