Rosalind stood hesitantly at the threshold of the forsaken temple, memories of a past visit flooding her mind. The last time she came here, she could barely endure the demonic energy around. The sadness was so powerful it was almost overwhelmingly suffocating. She remembered touching a crown and absorbing it, accidentally absorbing the memories of the one who owned it in the past. Yet today was different.

She bit her lower lip as she looked around. The air still felt heavy, charged with a demonic energy that sent shivers down her spine. Crumbling walls seemed to leer menacingly as if relishing in the fear they instilled. The muted light from the pearls barely penetrated the darkness, casting eerie shadows across the skeletal remains scattered about.

The malevolence that lurked behind made her frown.
