The ever-busy courtyard of Silver Lake's palace was bubbling with life and activities. While some people were only walking through to get in or out of the palace, others were transporting varieties of items from one place to another. Guards were positioned in different strategic locations to keep watch and provide maximum protection.
Everything, however, halted, and the atmosphere became tense when a deafening screech echoed around the palace and a large shadow of two flapping wings fell on the courtyard.
The guards instantly became alert, some readying their weapons while others simply readied themselves to shift. The people, who were previously freely walking around, all scrambled away, hanging around to watch from a safe distance.
In no time, Elvis's feet touched the floor of the yard. He looked around for a few seconds, surveying the area to ensure there were no threats before he folded his wings and lowered himself for his passengers to alight.
The side story is out come and read.
