Capítulo 175: I envy Cozan

Taken aback by what Jeremy just said, Salma stared at him with circled eyes. Jeremy was asking to be friends with her. Jeremy of all people. How come?

"You don't have to look so surprised. I've been wanting to do this for a long time, but I never got the chance. Whenever you are less busy, you are never at home." Jeremy said, reacting to her shocked expression. 

"Really? You don't see me as a murderer anymore?"

"I've never seen you that way or believed all those things they were saying. It makes no sense to believe that a three-year-old toddler will kill two adults. Any sensible person should know that."

"Okay," Salma uttered, turned around, picked up her bag, and resumed walking. Her actions confused Jeremy. What did she mean by okay? Was that a yes or a no?

Seeing her walk away, he ran after her and slowed down when he reached her side.

"So... Are you agreeing to be my friend?" 

"No," Salma answered, her voice, firm.

"Why not?"
