Waking up for the third time, Nori felt extremely exhausted, and in serious pain. Her back was burning, and she could literally feel her shirt sticking to her skin. This made her believe that the whip may have broken her flesh.

Apart from the wound on her back, her muscles and other parts of her body were sore. She had somehow managed to shift into a sitting position while wriggling and screaming during the whipping session earlier. Still, sitting in such an awkward position was no better than kneeling. The only advantage was that she could stretch her legs, which were already numb due to poor blood circulation.

Her eyes felt heavy even though she was just waking up, and the dryness in her throat made her crave water. But before she could force herself to make a request, the muffled voices of the people present in the room became clearer, forcing her to listen to what they were saying.
