Capítulo 44: Chapter 44: Onward and Upward

Selene wakes up the next morning feeling like an absolute wreck. She can only remember bits and pieces from the night before, and what she can remember doesn’t make her very happy. Her house had been burnt down right in front of her and then she made a fool of herself when Onyx came home. Way to be a strong confident Luna, she thinks to herself.

The bed is empty, aside from her, and Selene’s almost grateful for this little blessing. She doesn’t know what she’s going to say to Onyx about her behavior and she needs time to process everything. Getting out of bed is almost painful with her head still spinning as much as it is.

Selene stretches and realizes she’s naked. Onyx must have undressed me when I went to bed, she thinks to herself. Her bare feet pat against the floor as she makes her way to the bathroom to get cleaned up. Selene hopes that a nice warm washing will help her feel refreshed.
