Ellis POV
A plank came over the side of the yacht, and down onto the deck, connecting the two boats. Like in the old days when the crew of one boat would board another.
I could only hope things wouldn’t get that far, but there was no way to know how unpredictable Bethany could be. Sunshine and sweetness one minute, and then slashing your face with a razor the next.
As it came over, I scanned the boat for threats. In addition to the two goons on the deck, who had dragged Carl out, there were at least another ten in different positions.
They were only outlines, but from what he could tell none of them had explosives, only high-powered firearms, of varying power. I knew I would need to be careful around these men, but I was sure I could handle myself.
The gun was still at the back of Carl’s head, as Anthony approached with the first suitcase filled with cash. I could see Bethany’s eyes light up as she watched Anthony approach.
