Capítulo 43: 43.A Changed Reality
The night had been flushed out for Dr John Deegan, despite trying to convince his fellow doctors about his own methods on treating their patients; they rejected him..they called him just as crazy as the patients in Arkham Asylum if not worse
But how could they know what it truly meant to be crazy? What did they know about being surrounded by the ones who had sought chaos and destruction upon the beloved city know as Gotham..
But where some people lacked to his holy vision of retribution..one particular being saw the potential of Dr John Deegan; a being who was not of this world..who was not of this
Dr John Deegan had enough of this blasphemy but his thoughts were pushed aside as a voice echoed throughout the parking lot he stood in with his briefcase resting upon his car as the lights around John began to flicker oddly

John turned around as he found the source of this mysterious voice, it was a tall dark skinned man with many would assume was just mere cosplay but he was more than that
The look on John's face said enough as he replied back to the man standing in front of with an ominous light flickering above him thinking this was just another prank
John:Go find someone else to prank douchebag
But his thoughts were proven wrong as John's car suddenly crushed itself as John immediately realized this
John:My God..what are you?

The ominous being held out a large book filled with tons of pages stacked upon one another as he presented it to John

John slowly reaches out and takes the book away as he asks the ominous being one question
John:Why me?
?:
And it is exactly what John Deegan did, he opened the book..but what he saw weren't just mere letters on a book but it was so much more; he saw what many have dreamed of seeing their entire lives

John:I--I can see everything..
A smile crept upon the ominous beings face as he gave one last final piece of advice to John

Reality around them begin to wrap as a bright light emitted from the book itself, the and it was true the universe was in John's hands and he knew exactly how to use it

Somewhere inside an old abandoned gym we see Erick and Mia sparring against each other, Erick blocks a left hook with his wrist and counters as he kicks Mia in the stomach pushing her back as she rushes in and jumps kicks Erick
But he grabs her leg and slams her back down on the blue mattress as he stands over her and taunts her
"Seriously? That's it? C'mon show me what you got"
Mia holds out her hand and flips him off as he just laughs and holds out his hand to help her back to her feet as she holds the side of her stomach and groans in pain
They had been sparring against each other for over an hour and as much Mia didn't want to admit it, she got her ass kicked by Erick Thawne; but then again how do you beat a speedster who was trained by Batman himself
Erick unwraps the bandages from his hands and grabs a towel as he throws it over to Mia as she catches it and wipes the sweat from her forehead
Mia:I swear every time I hit you it felt like I was punching a literal wall of steel
Erick just laughs hearing this as he tosses the bandages into a nearby trashcan
"Let's just say I have a bigger advantage now.."
Mia scoffs and rolls her eyes as she remembers what Erick had told her from finding out he was half Asgardian to finding out he had a niece, he definitely has had some weird adventures
Mia:I still think it's considered cheating but sure keep telling yourself that
She notices something fall out of Erick's pocket as she walks over to it and kneels down as she picks it up and unfolds it revealing a picture of Erick, Kate and Kara taking a selfie with ice cream cones in their hands
A swift hand snatches the picture away from Mia as she looks up and sees Erick put the picture back in his pocket as she raises an eyebrow giving Erick a knowing look
Mia:Clearly that's not the only thing that has changed..a literal Goddess and the Girl of Steel falling for the same man
Erick lowers his head and rubs his hands together
"Can we not talk about this, Mia?"
He had been avoiding this conversation for a reason and Mia knew why
Mia:I know it's not my business but you know what happening between you and them, you future self said it..you'll have to choose eventually
"He also said it would be one of the most important decisions in my entire life.."
Mia puts the towel around her neck as she puts her hand on Erick's shoulder
Mia:You said that your feelings are complicated because you know how much they both mean to you and losing either one of them would hurt like Hell--
"I know what I said, Mia. You don't have to repeat my own words back to me.."
He grabs his bag and picks it up as they both start to walk out of the old abandoned gym
