I died. As simple as that - in a plane crash. No Truck-kun, no silly choking on noodles or what-nots. One moment, I close my eyes during the crash, the next moment, I am being swaddled in something warm. Not gonna lie, I was panicking inside, but the next moment, I opened my mouth, a baby scream came out. It took me quiet some time to figure out the details.
Not gonna bore you with baby steps in literal sense, but I found out I was born in Ancient India, during the tail end of Gupta dynasty, some time around 500 A.D. Being the son of the emperor of India, I had lots of books to peruse from while growing up, with lessons in geography, history, politics, etc. The science was not so developed, but damn, the country was rich. I saw gold everywhere. Also, I learnt of sorcerers who use dimensional energies to perform magic as well as wizards who use their own magic. It was during this time that the Romans started the usage of wands and made wanded magic popular.
So, to take stock of things - I think I am in a mix of Harry Potter world, probably (still unsure since the story starts 1500 years into the future) and MCU (since sorcerers exist - and I read records of Eternals from our history books). I still didnt understand what I am gonna do when even technology is termed witchcraft. So, I made a goal, drag the nation into modern era of technology at a slow pace (I have 1500 years) and make sure I can live till that day.
Not gonna lie, the last goal was almost impossible if I didnt have my powers. I didnt have any equipment to check whether I was a mutant, but I think I was. I will check later when I go to Egypt and see if there are records of Apocalypse or the Library of Alexandria exists somewhere. I also plan to go to the sorcerers to study their magic later, when I am done with my goals.
So, my powers - I called it Inner sense. I could sense the flow of energies inside my body and how they interact with my very being. I observed them throughout my childhood for 4 years. I could only view the flow and not alter it or add to it. Guess, I was lucky I could not otherwise, things could have been disastrous, which I later found out while experimenting with them on my own. So, I saw how the energies interact. I called it life energy at that time, which I later realised is just a mixture of various cosmic energies. I practised hard and developed my inner sense into outer sense and slowly, I was able to view the energy flows in other people.
From my observations, I found out, that the energy flows in excess during growth stage of humans and later during old age, the energy lines get entangled or cutoff due to stress or mix with others, resulting in lesser energy flow and more stagnation. It was so wrong to look at. As I grew up, I observed more and I was able to tug and pull at the energies flowing in me. They were centered around my genetic makeup, but as more and more energies flew into it, they grew tangled and caused energy flow blockages resulting in lesser flow. It sometimes caused the energy threads to snap and mix with other threads making it more tangled. I tried and tugged at my energy strings to make the energy threads denser and more tensile in order to avoid breakage and came to a surprising observation - when I made the energy denser and ensured smoother flow, my breathing pattern automatically changed and became smoother and smoother. As I kept on doing the same thing over and over for the tail end of my genetic energy flow pattern, my breathing pattern also correspondingly got updated. I realised, in a sense, that I am doing reverse engineering here (remembering the wuxia protagonists who use breathing patterns to breakthrough their stages). So, color me not surprised (obviously a pun) when I broke through what I later termed it as the 1st genetic lock, since there was 46 such locks in my genetic chain and I could sense them. So, the tail end of genetic chain was unlocked and I was able to expand my sense. My inner sense got a level-up. My outer-sense got amped up too. I was able to sense the simmilar patterns in other people in and around the capital. So, I learned to expand my senses and slowly, by the time I was able to break through the 2nd genetic lock, I could cover the whole of India and sense the energy flow in people. I tried sensing people outside the nation. I could sense their patterns too, but there was nothing common with my genetic energy flow pattern. Hence, I could not even speculate as to how to influence their energy flow with any breathing methods.
This led me to my next goal - make sure all Indians learn how to utilise the breathing pattern and help them break though their genetic locks and transcend human limits. I am not sure what will happen when someone breaks through all 46 locks. So, I initiated the Teach India initiative, which later led me to become the Great Teacher of India.
