Capítulo 12: Waking up...
Back inside the room where Dante was the boy was starting to awake.
"I guess I'm finally awake…Is that what it's like to be conscious in a coma? God that was awful!"
That's right, Dante was conscious during the entire time he was "asleep". While his body did shut down so he couldn't feel anything nor do anything his mind refused to turn off, so instead he was stuck in a "asleep" yet conscious state to where he knew everything that was going on outside but couldn't do anything about it.
This was a great embarrassment to Dante but also made his heart feel warm. He was embarrassed by the things Eva did to "take care" of him but also felt warm that Eva was willing to do such things.
At first he was just using Eva to make some quick money, but that quickly changed though. Throughout the journey to escort her home they learned quite a lot about each other, it would be a lie to say that he was only "using" her at this point. Eva slowly got rid of some of the loneliness he had by coming to this world, she gave him a shoulder to lean on if he needed one and that was the biggest blessing he could have asked for.
Eva also helped him come to terms with this new world more and that it wasn't just a game but real life. The people here had real emotions and felt real pain.
"Ah! Young man, please stay still, I'm going to inform the young miss!" Spoke a maid standing by the door, before she rushed out of the room.
'I'm going to have to act some aren't I…' Dante thought.
Letting the Astaril women know that he knew who Eva was before helping her, would only cause them to be wary of him, so he would have to act as if he didn't know what was going on.
So, when he heard the door barge open and saw Eva running to him with tears in her eyes, he dogged her hug. It was still hard for him to walk at the moment so he pushed some of his attribute to his legs before running off to a corner of the room.
Then he spoke.
"Who are you and what do you want?" Dante said in a bone chilling voice.
While he spoke he started to release his aura. This aura surprised both Alice and Aria, but while Alice was intrigued by his aura, Aria was horrified. When his aura was released Aria felt a sense of helplessness, and in contrast to her normal cold confidant self, she grabbed her mothers sleeve, hiding behind her.
Seeing the way Dante acted, Eva spoke.
"It's me, Eva! Let's sit down and I'll explain what's going on, okay?" She spoke gently, trying to calm him down.
Looking at Eva, Dante was truly shocked this time. Unlike the blonde hair and violet eyes she had in the game, her hair color was white and her eyes blue. She looked a lot like him, he would have truly mistaken her if he hadn't been conscious the entire time he was "asleep".
"Eva has brown hair!" He shouted, following the script he had made in his mind.
"Ah! I…I will have to explain that, but ummm….Right! I took you to get a haircut and bought you new clothes, you also fought with that Silver Core man when we were in the carriage. That proves I'm Eva, right!"
Eva, forgot that she hadn't told Dante that she was a noble, or even showed him her real appearance.
"Is that really…you?" Dante said, as he made his aura weaken enough to where Aria wouldn't be scared from it, but still kept a wary expression.
"Yes!" She shouted.
Eva then jumped into Dante and pulled him into a hug and started crying. She was anxious of what would happen when he learned that she was a noble and that she had been hiding that fact from him.
Thinking he had done enough to not be considered suspicious, he decided to end his little act.
Cupping Eva's face with both of his hands, which was now easy thanks to his new height from his more mature body, and wiped her tears with his thumbs.
"Calm down, calm down. I believe you, I'll listen to what's going on, okay?" He said, soothingly.
Eva only nodded her head in acknowledgement, refusing to let go of her hug on him.
Smiling at Eva's response Dante stopped moving his attribute through his body and immediately coughed up blood.
His body was already in a terrible shape when he woke up, then on top of that he moved his attribute with the very little mana he had left and it proved to be too much for his body.
*Cough**Cough*
The sight of Dante coughing up blood spooked Eva and she led him back to the bed, ordering the maids to bring a meal to the room.
Dante, not wanting to beat around the bush, got to the point.
"So, what's going on?" He said, looking at the three Astaril women in front of him.
The mother of the two daughters, Alice, caught his attention. She gave off the feeling of a gentle beauty with her long silver hair and violet eyes, but Dante knew that she could be ruthless when she wanted to be.

Dante, couldn't help but think this. He knew her past, so this title did fit her but still…
He then turned his eyes to Aria.
She had her mothers silver hair but didn't inherit her eyes, instead she inherited her father's blood red eyes. She had since regained her calmness from Dante releasing his aura and instead of the cold expression he was expecting from her, she showed a gentle thankful expression. He had saved her sister so it was expected.
Then he opened her status.

Then Dante heard Eva's voice snap him out of his thoughts.
"Yes, I'll explain…"
"Okay"
"Well…I'm actually the successor to the Dukedom of Astaril, that means I'm a noble. Over there are my mom, the current Duchess, and my little sister Aria." She said apprehensively.
As she was saying this her mind was filled with Dantes potential responses. He could hold dislike towards nobles or could just find them troublesome and not want to get involved with them.
Hearing Eva's words Dante kept his calm expression, turned towards the Duchess and spoke, while slightly bowing his head.
"I'm afraid, I don't know the proper etiquette to greet you with. I hope you'll forgive me." He said with an awkward smile.
"Fufufu, It's no problem at all, just speak however you like." Alice said.
She was impressed by Dantes reaction when he learned that they were all nobles.
But she wasn't finished yet,
"After all, we will be family soon." She finished speaking with a bright smile on her face.
Without thinking Dante responded.
"Of course, wait…Huh?"
