Capítulo 33: Roundabout
So I left the village with more than enough water and food to last for three days, which obviously wouldn't be enough, but it still gave me more room to be careless — especially now that I don't have to worry about dying because of some stupid mistake.
That was, until I realized something: I am running to the Jia's city based on the assumption that the north east outpost was attacked. And if it was, it won't be only me who is trying to report what happened to their boss.
Unfortunately, the main city of the north has an ancestral shrine. This meant that by the time I even started my journey, there was the possibility of the north preparing to attack us. I doubt a small force was able to take down an entire outpost, but if a large army came up to our doorstep, the first village I went to should have seen what happened. Even if it was a few hundred miles away, they would have undoubtedly seen everything.
I didn't stop going forward. Besides, there was always the off chance of the north not knowing about the quarantine and sending soldiers to the Caodi realm. It would be really funny if they actually did that. And without knowing what was happening, they'd just keep sending their army and getting killed by the soldiers guarding anyone from entering via shrine.
