Capítulo 27: Fenrisúlfr Loki
Silence fell for a moment, why was the lord's daughter calling Cain a sir and why was she so protective? She did spend more gold on healing him than Eva spent her whole life.
Hades stared at her standing between him and Alen, he glared at her back and then sat down. "Fine, my is that old man." He scratched his head as the Fenrir cub whimpered on his shoulder. He was disappointed he didn't get some meat.
Gabriella immediately turned glaring at him with a confused face, "Hold up, which old man?"
"The one we met at the church." He replied bluntly and with a straight face. "WAN!" The Fenrir cub started panting on his shoulder, excited for the coming battle and his tail started wagging.
Gabriella approached Hades with a smile, "No you aren't, and I will find more things for you to kill. Father is someone you need to aim for…" she said and then stopped thinking about her own words, could be that Hades's mission is to kill her father? She has never known of him doing something so bad to become targeted.
"Hold up, can you give me some time to investigate? I'm sure it's just a misunderstanding." She said with a sad face.
"Fine, he was too strong and could have offered a lot of Favor. Just find me someone of equal value." Hades didn't understand most of what she was saying. But if she said she will give him another one to kill, it had to be just as strong. He then can kill the old man later and gain double the Favor.
Hades had Gabriella's mind racing, what did he mean? Favor? Her father was too strong and he need someone else…It then clicked in her mind what her father did, or, more precisely what he didn't do yet. Retiring, Hades's mission might be to bring change, and find another person to take her father's place as he has ruled over his retirement.
But, wasn't Hades recovering from an injury? What happened to that? No, that was also true, she just didn't have a full understanding of his situation. Just a mere high priest like her can't hope to comprehend the divine mission of a Valkyrie. She must bring the retirement news to her father.
"I understand, I will deliver the news and find you an equal person." Gabriella bowed slightly, her brother Jack should be ready to take over her father's position. It was very unlikely that her father will disagree as he was mumbling about returning for some time now, even though Jack wasn't that eager, he sure will accept.
William approached them with a smile trying to break the tense air he was feeling, their conversation seemed strange and he could feel that something was off just from their expression. "Let's get inside, I'm sure you're hungry after such a recovery."
Hades smiled thinking about food. That was a word he understood and took as a sign that the day ended, he could finally rest and recover. It would help them a lot if they realized that food is his stopping switch, but no one seemed to notice him relaxing beside the little Fenrir cub.
"WAN!" He licked Hades' cheek. That surprised Him and he grabbed the cub trying to throw him away. "WAN! WAN!" The Fenrir cub jammed his claws into Hades's shoulder and didn't want to let go. No one was going to throw him anyway no matter what.
Seeing them like that, Gabriella smiled that Hades had found someone that he won't kill immediately. "What did you name him?" She asked.
It was then that Hades remembered, the system told him to do it but he didn't. The devil who named him did the same and named him. He's better to find a name for the cub.
He thought but couldn't find a name in his head, all he knew was actions. Old-man killer, small monster, metal eater…
"Not yet…can't think of one." Hades stared at Gabriella.
She smiled, she could think of a suitable name right away. "How about Loki? He's supposed to be Fenrisúlfr's father."
Hades had the name circle in his head for a few seconds and he smiled, "Fenrisúlfr Loki. Will call you Fen from now on." He patted the little cub.

Gabriella patted Fen and took him from Hades's back, "You really messed Hades up, don't go around biting people."
"WAN!"
"Let him go, he isn't here for you to play with. I need him to kill." Hades took him from her hand and lifted him up, "I need you to be able to kill,"
"No, we need him to not kill. A Fenrir will even more dangerous to keep if he got used to human flesh." Gabriella took Fen from his hands.
"What's the problem with that?" Hades took him from her hands.
Eva approached them and grabbed Fen "You two, stop fighting and get in." She glared at them, "Hades you're hungry right? The food should be ready so hurry in." She said with a smile.
Gabriella nodded and looked toward the flowers where Eva's brother Alen had been thrown earlier, the rose are dead and the grass flattened. Such a shame, but what was Alen thinking as he attempted to attack Hades? It was probably best for her to ask Eva about it later.
Hades strolled inside with Fen following with a wagging tail, the maid hid behind the corners as they knew the little thing was a Fenrir. It may look small and cute, but it was a monster capable of sending them to the grave at any moment.
Hades looked toward them and they hid behind the corners, only their foreheads peeked out as they sneaked curious looks at him. He stopped, letting Eva walk ahead alone without noticing.
Gabriella who was behind saw him lift his hand slowly pointing a finger into the corner. Fen's tail stopped wagging and he glared at that directing with an expressionless face.
The maids froze in place as they saw Hades point his finger toward them. As Fen glared in their direction, they froze in fear. Their legs refused to move as the monster started drooling.
Gabriella rushed ahead to stop what he was about to do "Wait Hades!"
Hades's lips slowly moved, and a dampening silence took hold before the words came out, "Fen, go."
At that moment, Fen raced toward the maids in the blink of an eye. They couldn't react, they were too slow.
In a single leap, Fen dropped one of the maids to the ground. Licking her face like crazy, "WAN! WAN! WAN!"
"Get…off me!" she tried to push him away but his claws were stuck to her maid uniform, "WAN! WAN!" Fen stared at her drooling as his tail spun around.
"You already ate right…get away from me!" She cried and the other maids were too scared to help her.
Hearing the ruckus behind, Eva rushed back and saw Fen on top of one of the maids. It was the same made who gave her meat to feed him earlier. "Is he still hungry? Just feed him more, and make sure to include bones and organs." She said and the maid cried.
"But…!" she was almost tearing up.
"Don't complain and feed him, otherwise you're going to be the food one day." Eva crossed her arms, implying that if they didn't feed Fen well, it was very likely he will go against them when hungry enough.
"Just eat her Fen, and will get some Favor," Hades said. He wasn't sure why de…no women as Eva said were hiding in the darkness like that so he wanted to test Fen. Didn't expect to act like that.
Fen jumped over the collapsed maid "WAN! WAN!" He licked her face again, he could remember her smell on the meat he was given earlier. He knew that Eva brought him the meat, and could tell the maid who cut it just minutes ago just by the smell.
"Fine, Fine!" She pushed him away and stood up fixing her skirt and apron, "Will cut ya a big piece, but no more licking!" She grunted at him.
"WAN! WAN!" Fen didn't listen and started running between her legs and jumping around her all the way to the kitchen.
The maid sighed, how she ended up feeding a Fenrir out of all the things. Giving such a small create thick bones and tough meat seemed wrong, but hearing him chew through them terrified her to the core.
"What a little monster are ya." She put a bowl of milk by his side, "You look small. Milk might help ya." She watched him eat.
