Callie had called Meredith and Helena to her and Cristina's place, worried that the resident wouldn't get out of bed. So, now, all three girls laid in her bed.
"Do you wanna dance it out?" Helena proposed.
"No." Cristina answered from under a red blanket.
"Do you wanna drink tequila?" Meredith tried.
"No."
"Do you wanna call us names?" The brunette suggested.
"Mock us endlessly?" The blond added.
At that, Cristina's head resurfaced from under the blanket, as she though for a second. However, the answer was the same, as she returned to being covered. "No."
"We're trying to cheer you up!" Meredith explained.
"Well, stop it, it's annoying. And it's not working I'm deep in the wilderness here."
At that, Helena groaned before reaching out to her special pager. "Do you want the sparkle pager?" She offered.
At that, Cristina quickly sat in the bed, looking at her as if she was crazy. "That's not funny."
"You're sad. Like, really sad. You know how I know I need to give you the sparkle pager? Cause you're so sad you're not even asking for it." The short girl said, shrugging.
"Shiny, shiny pager with lots of shiny, shiny surgeries. I'd take it." Meredith told her friend.
As Cristina grabbed it, she told her friend. "If I was the kind of person who kissed people, I would kiss you."
At that, Helena got up in the bed, kissing her friend's forehead. "There." She smiled, her dimples noticeable.
——
As Helena approached Meredith in the morning, she was standing by her interns. "Hey!" She greeted, sipping on her coffee.
Just then, Izzie approached them. "Where were you two last night?"
"We stayed with Cristina." Meredith told her.
"She needed us." Helena added.
"Aw, that's so nice." The girl said in a sarcastic tone. "But Rebecca is at the house, I needed you."
"Rebecca's still here? That's... ." The short girl let out, her brows furrowing with some concern.
"Apparently she's crazy." George told them.
"Now, George, we've had this discussion and we decided that it's not appropriate to call Izzie crazy. She's... spirited." Meredith joked.
"Spirited." Helena repeated, letting out a giggle.
"Ha ha, not me. I'm not crazy, Rebecca's crazy. And Alex is pretending she's not, it's..."
"Hello!" Cristina told them, smiling.
"You seem... cheerful?" Izzie asked.
"I'm getting my groove back." The Asian woman told her, taking the pager off her pocket. "Lena gave me the sparkle pager."
"What?!" Izzie let out.
"She's needed it, she was really sad!" Helena said, shrugging as she took another sip of her coffee.
"Did you ever stop to think maybe I needed it?" The taller blond asked.
"Oh, you'd waste the sparkle pager! I need it so get out from under Hahn. I won't have to beg her for OR time if I have the pager. You know what? If she's not gonna teach me, I'm gonna teach myself." Cristina explained.
"It's really not fair she refuses to teach you, though. I swear I don't get it, any cardio attending would like to have you on their service." Helena told her friend, her eyes narrowing in resignation. "It's official, I don't like her."
"She's just gonna use it for evil! would use it to do good. Besides, the pager is sacred... . You can't do that." Izzie told her, turning to George. "Right, she can't do that?"
"I think it's non transferable." George spoke up.
"Oh, come on, Iz. It's not like it's hurting you that she gets it. You're being unreasonable." The young girl spoke up. As her pager went off, she looked down. "I have a trauma, gotta go."
——
As Helena and Cristina put their trauma gowns on, Mark, Erica and Bailey joined them.
"Morning, Dr. Hahn, Dr. Bailey." The short girl greeted, soon leaning in to whisper to her boyfriend. "Don't forget we're telling Derek today."
Just then, Callie walked through the doors.
"Hi, Callie." Erica greeted.
"Hi, hello, Erica." The woman greeted, seemingly a bit flustered.
"What's the matter with you?" The cardio surgeon asked.
"Nothing. No... nothing."
"You look all hot and bothered." Mark told her, teasingly. At that, Helena shot him a look. The resident had confided in them that she was attracted to Erica, and, clearly, the teasing wasn't helpful.
"No! It's just... there's a trauma. And it's really big. That's all. It's big, it's a big trauma." She told them. "Really big trauma!"
"You're acting weird." Bailey told her.
As the doctors walked in front of them, Callie and Helena fell behind, the young girl telling her. "Look, I know she kissed you and everything but take a deep breath. You're making it kinda obvious."
"I know..." The older woman whined.
However, once they entered the room, all the doctors froze. There was a boy stuck in a big block of concrete.
"Really big trauma..." Helena whispered to herself.
——
As Helena and Callie talked to the kid's friends, one of them explained.
"Look, we were just joking around. It was a dare."
At that, they all chuckled, making the doctors share a look.
"You him to lay in a bed of cement at a construction sight?" Callie asked, clearly just as shocked as the younger girl.
"Hey, we never though he'd do it. It's Andy, he never does anything. He doesn't have the guts, right?" Another one of the boys spoke up, making the rest laugh.
