Capítulo 33: Chapter 33: With Power and Posture

The vampiress breathed heavily while I menaced over her. Melyiana prepared to die by my side and forty knights were ready to lay waste to their settlement on my command.

“We will help them but we’re not doing it for you,” she finally said. I held my hand to help her up but she smacked it aside.

We followed the Barrownor warriors through the gauntlet of traps and deadends until we reached the village inside a crater caused by an impact from the heavens. Fires illuminated the grounds and they constructed most of their dwellings along the perimeter. A large, circular hall rested in the center and the Barrownor inhabitants glared at us.

“What is this?” a man shouted as he emerged from the round hall. He wore elegant robes over trousers and opted for no shirt. Runic and tribal tattoos covered his chest and wrapped around his back it seemed. Tattoos also littered his shaved head and two guards carried torches and spears behind him.
