Chapter 26: Across the Line
Holly Adams POV:
I stepped out onto the sidewalk, forcing a happy smile onto my face as I saw Raf pulling up.
I was getting so sick of this. So sick of having to play nice with this guy. So sick of being away from my friends and family. From Andy. All my calls for help were falling on deaf ears, and until something changed, I was stuck here.
But I still had a part to play, and I was going to play it even if it chewed away at me.
Raf stopped the car, and I climbed in. “Hey, Honey,” I greeted. I leaned in and kissed Raf slowly, pretending to savor his taste. He bought it now just like every other time and was smiling when I finally pulled back.
“It’s nice to see you too,” Raf told me happily. “I hope you’re in the mood for surprises, Angela, because I’ve got something special planned for you today.”
I made my smile grow. “I can’t wait,” I replied. Maybe you’ll give me something I can use to throw your ass behind bars.
