Holly Adams POV:

I stood there in disbelief, but I covered that up with a look of irritated boredom.

The person whose attention I’d been after for the last week was standing right in front of me. In a place Andy had suggested out of hand because he thought it would be fun for me.

God, Andy, I could kiss you for this.

King strolled into the cage accompanied by a pair of heavies. He gave me an approving look. “That was an impressive display Miss … Blaq, I believe?”

I only nodded.

King’s approving look became a tight smile, but that turned into a dark frown as he turned to my competition. Twitchy had climbed to his hands and knees, the switchblade still in his hand. King knelt next to Twitchy and pried the knife out of his grip.
