There was no luck in the search for Lagertha but this didn't mean Ulf planned on giving up, Ulf knew he didn't have the numbers to thoroughly search this area but he was also aware that he couldn't make a scene or he risked this getting out of hand.

Lagertha was dead, this was the news that they had spread and he planned for it to remain that way.

He was surprised that his brother had forgiven him but this only told him that Ragnar had prioritized this over their petty feud.

Ulf had to prove himself, there was no way he could return without finding Lagertha.

"Hm…" Ulf thought to himself, observing the area and noticed a few prying eyes on him.

"I have an order from the King of Vestfold, King Ragnar!" Ulf shouted, his voice reaching anyone within hearing distance.

They had no choice but to give him a listening ear as no one would want to be on the bad side of King Ragnar.
