Capítulo 217: Lava monster(2)
The monster had a long slender form and six thick muscular legs and bright red scales that looked like jagged stones. It was also coiled around itself but as the lava from the volcano spilled away from it , it began to stretch itself out. The eeriest part though was this loud rattling and clashing of rocks sound that came from it's scales. It clearly took inspiration from a rattlesnake except instead of just the tail it's whole body rattled. The monster glared at Alex with bloodshot and baneful eyes that made him put up his guard.-
It was a good thing he did too as the monster launched itself at him incredibly quickly and Alex barely dodged to the side. Unfortunately the monster was much trickier than normal and twisted its body on it's self like a cat before slamming into him with one of it's claws. Alex grunted from the force of the strike but proved why close combat with him was a bad idea as he grabbed the claw and detonated his [Tenshou] at point blank range. "Rooooaaar!" The monster screamed as the energy directly removed that claw entirely from it's body.-
Alex also didn't escape unharmed from that attack either but in his case it wasn't the energy itself that harmed him but rather the concussive force of it. He could shrug off that amount of damage easily however thanks to his powerful regeneration that was already repairing the damage done. The monster landed back on the ground and after noticing that it had been partially crippled glared at Alex with an extreme amount of hatred. It opened it's mouth and started shooting various pillars of that green liquid at him from it's mouth in an attempt to get rid of him entirely.-
Alex was nimble however and in an impressive display of aerial gymnastics dodged everything the thing threw at him. The monster wasn't stupid and changed tactics immediately and a bright red glow began to radiate from between it's scales that steadily grew more and more intense. Logic told Alex that whatever that was wasn't good news for him at all and so he began to pelt the huge monster with jets of water. The beast hissed angrily at this as it clearly worked to offset whatever it was doing while also causing it pain. Alex was an opportunistic predator however and now that he found a weakness he planned to exploit it maliciously.-
The jets of water grew denser and more powerful it the point that the monster started to lose scales from the very effective damage it was taking. Unfortunately thanks to it's sheer size these injuries were merely irritating for it but not even close to threatening it's life. Finally the glow coming from under it's scales seemed to reach a certain intensity as the monster once again leapt at Alex which he dodged confused why it would use the same trick twice. This confusion changed instantly however when the glow under it's scales shifted from red to green as it passed by him.
'Shit.' was the only thought to go through Alex's head before the monster erupted in a massive explosion of that green liquid. Alex was thoroughly covered in the stuff and launched away from the explosions impact. His scales melts and his flesh was cooked slightly from the heat and he made a split second decision to shed all of his scales in an instant. The liquid was like napalm as it stuck to the scales while they fell through the air.-
Alex was forced to shed and regrow his scales three whole times before he finally got rid of the liquid on him but this took it's toll on him as a large amount of his elemental energy was gone. He was also covered in terrible burns and this was before he even smashed into the nearby mountains and was covered in falling rocks. The huge monster clearly believed in the idea of double tapping it's kills as it rushed over to where Alex was buried upon landing. A massive blast of [Tenshou] erupted from around Alex however basically evaporating the stones trapping him while also forcing the monster to keep it's distance lest it lose another limb or worse.
