Claws are built to flense and cut, and fangs exist to rip and tear. Typically, this truth was intended for flesh filled to the brim with life, but Valentina was quickly discovering how little that actually mattered. As it turned out, ethereal and transmaterial flesh infused with necromantic energy served just as well as its living equivalent, at least in a pinch, and now the vampiress was shredding through ghostly lamias and drinking their incorporeal flesh like it was ambrosia.
Hey, soooo, a week delayed and it was still on of the shorter chapters of the novel. I'm sorry about that. I've been struggling a lot recently and getting sick did me no favours. Ultimately, I decided to publish this as a shorter chapter as opposed to waiting any longer though, and honestly, it kinda works out anyway. Next chapter will be another change of pov, so this was a natural cut off point. I do feel bad about not delivering more though. Here's hoping that next chapter will be easier to write and be longer while also not having delays.
Anyways, as usual you can join conversations, ask questions, and get updates from me if there are any delays at my lil discord here: https://discord.gg/hJWSVx2uhT
And as always, I hope you're having a wonderful day
