As the ground shook and the entire shelter Dahlia created trembled, all it took was one glance out of a window to realise what was happening. From underneath them, the ground had risen up and was now beginning to rise, effectively standing up on a dozen legs made from roots and vines. A quick look back at Euryale was all that was needed to make it abundantly clear that the woman was at least slightly proud of their new mode of transportation. Dahlia couldn't help but raise an eyebrow questioningly though.
"Really? Was being dramatic entirely necessary? Not to mention that I feel like this… giant vine spider thing might be a bit excessive for our needs."
For her part, Euryale just smiled and shrugged.
"Come now sweetling, you have to let me show off in some way, and what could be better than being productive while I do so?"
And that's the last chapter I write before my surgery next week. Said surgery may cause delays on the next chapter depending entirely on how well my body handles it. I've been told that it shouldn't be too bad, and sitting and writing should be easy enough, but I wanted to leave this warning here just in case.
Now, with regards to the chapter.................. I'm realllllly curious what you think. Euryale is a *very* different type of character in the first place and everything about her is kinda extreme. Despite that though, this chapter made it clear that it wasn't just a one way thing and Dahlia had formed a genuine connection with her, which I don't think was entirely clear until now. Frankly, their relationship, while certainly not romantic in any way, is shockingly intimate and I figured that might bother some people. I'd be curious to hear your thoughts about it all.
Aaaaand, that's it for me. I'm tired and need to work tomorrow morning, so I need to go curl up and sleep. But, as always, I hope you're having a wonderful day :3
