Capítulo 107: A couple of softies
Following Dahlia waking up, the next few minutes weren't particularly spent productively. The girl continued to be responsive but out of it, and it took a fair number of minutes of coddling and cuddling before Valentina really regained her senses as well.
Bessie was there too of course, but she knew better than to directly intrude on the vampiress. The woman had been far too depressed and jittery earlier and so the maid figured she could afford to give the two a little bit of space. Despite holding herself back though, that didn't mean she wasn't involved, and instead was focussing more on ensuring Dahlia's comfort.

AngelAsphodel A bit of a short chapter today, but I just wanted to get this one out as it was. I was really in the mood for something a little gentler and fluffly, but that probably just reflects my own mood right now. (I was reading a novel with a really cute relationship and it made me all jealous and wanting more and stuff, so I decided to do a bit of my own, lol).
Another thing I feel is worth mentioning is that I'm hoping to be a little careful with Dahlia's condition. It feels a little too easy to fall into tropes of mental health or trivialise real world things if I don't approach them with due consideration.
In this case, I'm basing her condition more off of mental states I've been in personally rather than trying to replicate what I've heard about what others have experienced. Hopefully this way I can avoid making poor representations of real world disabilities or mental health issues.
I'd like to approach that topic one day, but I don't have the research or help I'd need right now to do a good job on it, so I'll set it aside for the time being as something future me can deal with.
