Capítulo 124: The Baron's Plans II

"Bervon, do you have all the details I require?"

The shadow servant of the baron said quietly, "Certainly, My Lord." he was kneeling. The servant is facing the baron's back while he is looking out of the large window in his suite.

The Baron's eyes narrowed and the corners of his lips curled upward as soon as the servant said those words.

The servant could do nothing but close his eyes as the baron's filthy laughter resounded throughout the dim, empty-looking chamber they were in at that moment.

When nightfall arrived, the Baron set a trap not only for the nobility the Duke had instructed him to target but also for the person who had compiled all of the references.

While maintaining his focus on the exterior view of their garden, Baron said softly through his spectacles, "If he thinks that I'm terrified of his power and control then I guess he thought incorrect for all the reasons."
